Totally agree with this approach. I remember meeting this girl at a gaming tournament and we were talking about our PC builds, so I mentioned I'd follow her to see her setup pics. Made it way less awkward than just randomly showing up in her followers list later. Plus it gives them a chance to say something like "oh I don't really use Instagram much" or whatever if they're not into it. Way better than the weird limbo of wondering if you should add someone you met once at a coffee shop three weeks ago.

As soon as you get access to their instagram , jokes apart you should wait for a while if they have given you personally then you can do it right away but if you discovered them by recommendations you should wait for a while

If you just want them to be your friend, ask them to type their username and send a request on the spot. But if you see them as a potential fling, that’s another story son.
