There was a thread years ago about some guy that came across some old underground bunker. I believe it was somewhere in Europe (can't remember where.) He supposedly found diary notes that talked about a being that had gigantic hands, needle like legs with no feet, that just scraped across the ground. Described it as having large eye sockets with no eyeballs. Don't remember much else and I can't find the thread anymore unfortunately

Maybe not strange in comparison to others but I review the suggested feed for me... Every once in a while (at least once a week) someone posts something like "is this cat a boy or girl?". No cover photo. No warning. First pic is always a****** and pee-parts. Comments to it are always "jees dude, add a cover photo, dirty butthole surprise". I don't visit the risque section of listnook so i don't really get those.

I think it was a temp ban in a sub once where someone's cat had some medical.issue and they were looking for advice. I had a similar case, shared, and got a few days ban or whatever for "sharing a hypothetical situation not based on facts". Some mod on a power trip. I tried to explain it was a legit issue and actually happened, wasn't hypothetical at all, and I have the bills to prove it. They still.replied "sharing hypothetical stories isn't allowed". Whatever. Wasn't that important.

If you've told me years ago, that AI bots talking to each other would freak people out, I would've laughed in your face. But here we are getting goosebumps of hearing of such stories, because the thought of you spending time and energy to talk to someone only to find out they weren't even human, is some dystopian level of horror.

At this point I'm not even surprised. I check on r/characterai every once in a while (used to use it just for fun but left a while ago) and the people there have always been crazy pretty much exactly like this and regularly complain about basically every change. As of late the complaints have gotten more serious since the devs are seemingly actively imploding the app, but the crazy people completely attached to their AI girlfriends were always there.
