Dementia or Alzheimer's. The idea of slowly losing my memories and eventually not even recognizing the people I love most is terrifying in a way that regular "scary" stuff just isn't.

i work in a nursing home. so i feel this to my core. it’s one of my biggest fears, seeing how our bodies ultimately fail us :(. it’s scary what the mind does when it old, i’ve lost many of my favorite residents to dementia and alzheimer’s.
