100%. Does retirement count? I’m so exhausted at 19…
1
DustySaloon5 Apr 1, 2026 +1
I think I'd get bored and socially isolated being essentially a housewife for the rest of my life, but i could do part time for sure
1
goth-crow Apr 1, 2026 +1
I love that for you. Going outside is so anxiety inducing. Are housewifes allowed to game and still dress like a goth? Because that’s my dream.

Probably don't get married if your spouse is making rules on that I'd say

I think my dream career would be something that blends creativity freedom and impact like being a travel storyteller or content creator. The idea of exploring different places meeting new people and sharing those experiences in a way that inspires others really appeals to me.

My job has similarities. As a technical writer, my job is to learn things all day long (I love learning new things!). And then share those things with others who need to know them. I've been in this profession for 31 years, and still enjoy it.

Billionaire  so I don't have to work and can just give my extra money to charities and my family and friends
1
vwilldie1de Apr 1, 2026 +1
Is billionaire a job or status ?
1
sampoqiser Apr 1, 2026 +1
I feel like a lot of billionaires talk about it like it's a job in itself to manage all their wealth
1
ModestPoncho Apr 1, 2026 +1

Working at Minature Wonderland. If you don't know, it is the largest model railroad in the world, it takes up two buildings. I would do anything they asked just to be able to wonder around at lunch.

Pilot. Wish I had known this 20 years ago
1
suitzup Apr 1, 2026 +1
As a professional pilot. It's an awesome job but as a career there are serious challenges. \- Extremely expensive schooling \- Pure seniority based systems means missing lots of weekends/holidays \- Sleep disruptions due to varying schedules \- Numerous medical issues could end career with next to zero transferable skills The good parts are good and never get old, and I don't regret my choice... but if I had to do life again, I think I would go for something that allows me to maximize my time at home with my kids. EDIT: I also just want to say, it is not uncommon as a second career. Transitioning to fly in your early 50s would still give you almost 10 years at an airline.

My current career: piano rebuilder. It's a trade and an art at the same time. I started tuning pianos when I was 15 and now I have a collection of 9 pianos ranging from 112-157 years old that I'm restoring to factory condition to sell. I absolutely love my job and hope to be doing it until I die

Diabetic Educator. I’m Type 1 and I would love to help others figure things out. Too bad the education is prohibitive to me, personally.

I’d love to be a writer, or earn money through up-cycling furniture. Mostly because I want to manage my work time around my energy and family but also because I’d actually enjoy doing it.

_latenightvibes_ Apr 1, 2026 +1
Honestly anything that gives me enough peace to enjoy my life outside of work too. That matters more to me now than having some super impressive title.

Regional superintendent of school p**** inspection. I don’t want to be involved in the day-to-day nitty-gritty, but I want to have a roll in ensuring that state mandated school p**** inspections are completed in an efficient and professional manner.

I want to be a wildlife/fishing guide. I really enjoy being outside in nature, and rivers have always fascinated me, but there is no way I will be able to have the work/life balance, or make the money needed to support my family doing that as a career.
