Hello guys. I wanna share what I do in my free time. I learned how to edit videos in Davinci Resolve free and like to create videos. Most of them are gameplays from games or short reviews. Also like to write scripts and learn languages. Still practicing my English, and learning Japanese :)
What is your favorite activity you do as a hobby?
it is digging into internet rabbitholes especially those that have offline parts to them. from the recent ones, Simeon of Polotsk Lestvica found text and projects around it, also TWIH stuff, and more

As a job, I’m a video game producer, which means I make sure my six-person indie team has all the resources they need to work (tools, workforce, information…). But I also handle narrative design, project management, marketing, video editing, level design, UX design... Because the team is so small, we need to be creative and wear multiple hats.
But for all these newer roles, I don’t have any technical background. I’m mostly relying on common sense and my production experience. Sooooo, as a hobby, I read about all these disciplines and I’m also learning video editing, using Blender. That might seem weird, but its video editing tools are actually quite nice, features-rich and… free. And it’s good I’m getting used to using Blender because it’s also the software the team is using for 3D…

We are in the age of multitasking and playing roles. I kinda am in the same boat. Gotta do lots of things at the same time, including my job. Wish you the best, mate! You are doing amazing in helping your team, and growing as a person.

Thanks for such a kind and cheerful reply! Honestly, I really love what I do. I feel like I’m useful even if I’m not “making the game myself”. Every time I help the team save time, I feel like I’m doing something meaningful. I also love learning new things.
I don’t think it could be possible in a bigger team, but I personally think I’m a better producer and manager now that I’m more involved in the actual production. A few months ago, when we were still around ten people, I was more busy managing than actually doing things.
I really prefer my job the way it is now. It just makes more sense to me.

Any tabletop games I can get my hands on- wargames, skirmish games, rpgs, board games, everything. My big ones right now are Battletech and Trench Crusade for miniatures games, and my family and I really like board games like Azul, Carcassone, and Mysterium

They are indeed fun as family. I used to do table puzzles with my mom. Now as busy as we are, our time is less but definitely wanna do something together. Also loved to play a game called "chantón", which is writing words by categories using a specific letter as initial.

I really enjoy boardgames but I really got into miniature painting during the pandemic. Was just a something to do being at home and have really enjoyed it. I try to paint atleast every few days. I'm nothing special but I enjoy getting better overtime.

I have none, i have been looking out for it, i do read books and play chess but they are not what i would consider as hobby, i am looking into model ship building using either some kit or from scratch but as far as I’ve researched that to is somewhat difficult to get where i live, so i am open for suggestions!
