Evie in 1999’s The Mummy recites “Kadishmal, kadishmal, paradus, paradus” to strip Imhotep of his invulnerability. For whatever reason since seeing this movie back in the day, the phrase somehow has just been imprinted in my brain.
I’ve thought up a bunch of other phrases like this but am super curious what are some of your other favorite made-up movie lines?

Army of Darkness was my first thought too but that's actually from The Day the Earth Stood Still originally. Bruce Campbell just butchered it perfectly when he couldn't remember the whole thing at the Necronomicon. My brain always goes to "Boomstick!" from that same movie though - not gibberish but the way he delivers it just sticks. Also been randomly saying "multipass" from The Fifth Element for like 25 years now, usually when I'm fumbling with my wallet or somthing. My wife thinks I'm losing it but that movie was just pure gold for quotable nonsense.

The story behind (after) it is great. Disney hired writers to make a song around a jibberish word of their own creation. Instead, they stole it from another song. The writer of that song sued. He lost the lawsuit because he stole it from yet another song, one owned by Disney.

51
LiimboApr 2, 2026

The people that sued them were Gloria Parker and Barney Young who had a 1949 song called Supercalafajalistickespeealadojus, or just "The Super Song."
There is no earlier Disney song that used the word, that part is wrong/a myth. They won the lawsuit by proving that there were instances of the word documented before 1949.

It's not too far from modern Irish.
With a few assumptions I get:
*"Snake's breath, prayer/incantation of death life, your (something?) to make"*
In modern Irish, it would be something like this:
*"Anáil nathrach, ortha bháis agus beatha, do (chél?) déanamh."*
I'm not sure what chél means

"The Korova milkbar sold milk-plus, milk plus vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom, which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence."
For years I thought he said ultra Violet. Which makes no sense. But neither does synthmesc or vellocet.

Most of that droogspeak is based off Russian. Tolchok means to hit. I think Yarbles is some kind of Cockney rhyming slang.

Okay, so there's this old b movie called The Wild World of Batwoman.
In this movie, they need to have a magical seance with an asian spirit. I'm not even joking when I say that this spirit began speaking from beyond the grave with words like "ching chong! Chong ching ching chong!"
Followed by Batwoman saying "nobody here speaks oriental!"

The spell from Bedknobs and Broomsticks. I chant it in my head all the time. Along with the song Substitutiary Locomotion.
