What non-spoiler clip would you share with someone to convince them to watch a show?

The opening scene of The Newsroom convinced a lot of people to watch the show.

For Silicon Valley, what convinced me to watch the show was the Mean Jerk Time scene. Just absolutely hilarious watching their scientific equations on how to jerk off as many people as efficiently as possible. https://youtu.be/8LpRh6HQrtQ?si=P7dmHtIyJV0ZsgYp

My girlfriend saw that clip on tiktok, and that got her to want to watch Breaking Bad :)

***Snoop buys a nail gun***, Season 4 Episode 1 of ***The Wire***. [Snoop buys a nail gun](https://youtu.be/JDpvkwBBu6U?is=SXRG6ru7XoBIS1c5) It's everything good about The Wire distilled into one scene. Fantastic writing.

probably the opening scene from the pilot of breaking bad where walt's just standing there in his underwear with a gun - doesn't spoil anything but immediately shows you this isn't going to be your typical suburban dad show.

The opening of Justified. Watching Raylan go into the restaurant for his first showdown, of the series, was a perfect introduction

If you're open minded and don't mind anime, [this opening scene](https://youtu.be/gMRxDVCcslo?is=HYd9ZAqr3RoW13IY) from Kill la Kill either sells you or it doesn't. Mind you, one of the official genres IS ecchi, but I'll leave the judgement of the show up to you.

That's one of the most visually busy things I've ever watched. I've not watched much anime and I think I'd have to start somewhere more sedate or I'll get worn out trying to keep up. Interesting though! Seems like a fun ride, thanks for sharing.

Almost every show or movie has a really good deleted scene. Show them that and I guarantee they'll watch the entire series just trying to figure out where that scene took place.

Kamen Rider W: https://youtu.be/P1SRTz7cD5o It showcases Shotaro and Philip being perfectly in sync, Shotaro's overly dramatic nature, Philip's natural curiosity, and Akiko's role in bringing the two back down to Earth. It's also got lore ramifications you don't learn until later.

The first scene of the first episode. Can’t stand this mindset of jumping in halfway through because you haven’t got the patience to let things build.

Oof...See, I want to recommend *Kevin Can F\*\*k Himself*. But the trouble is, there are precisely zero clips that I could show, that wouldn't be a spoiler, that would convince someone to watch. Because the ones worth sharing are, by their very nature, spoilers. You can only go into the show blind, and with the trust in the people who recommend it. Because the scenes that aren't spoilers are...not what you think they are. And even watching a trailer/preview is major spoilers. You gotta start the first episode, from the beginning, pay attention...and trust.

That show was so much better than I expected, but you are correct that it can only be recommended on trust.
