Remember when having a flip phone was cool and it was all about who could text fastest without looking? Now it's all about who can drop $1500 on the latest iPhone just to do the exact same stuff. I used to get excited about new features like being able to take photos or play Snake, but now it's just about having the most expensive piece of glass in your pocket. The worst part is watching people go into debt just to keep up with whatever Apple releases every year, when their 3-year-old phone works perfectly fine

Is it though? Everytime someone mentions the upgrade cycle of a new iPhone you have someone come in and comment about how they haven't upgraded in x amount of years because improvements have become much more incremental. It's literally a comment chain untill you reach someone still using the iPhone 6 plus
