Burt Reynolds and the 90210 episode where the guys help out and girl who has a tour of people who are a huge fan of Burt Reynolds but supposedly the company that they're with rip them off. So they send the people on a tour of the city and he shows up at the end and he gets the people to go see his TV show that night and then a screening of one of his movies. To be honest I'm sure it was a c**** commercial for that movie cop and a half and his TV show that he was on at the time.

I didn’t know what Ed Sheeran looked like either and my wife and I were both confused by that scene. She said something along the lines of “Am I supposed to know who this guy is? Why are they focusing on him like this?”
It could have been fine if the scene had not been poorly directed and framed, imo.

The worst part is that Game of Thrones had already done a great musician cameo. Will Champion (drummer from Coldplay) is the drummer in the band during the Red Wedding.
It's understated and you wouldn't notice unless you were a big Coldplay fan.
Global popstar Ed Sheeran randomly appearing and doing a song was so jarring that it is making me angry just typing this sentence.

Two great musician cameos. Sigur Ros perform at Joffrey’s wedding and he rudely throws coins at them. I love revisiting that scene on YouTube because the comments are full of SR fans declaring that that alone makes him deserving of death.

Not true on having an issue. Neither my wife nor I knew what Ed Sheeran looked like at the time and we both thought it was a weird scene. It’s not the guy that’s the problem - because you’re right that he ostensibly looks fine in the outfit as a fantasy character - but the directing. The camera just focused on him in a weird way, as if he was a character we were *supposed* to know already.

We were behind this really big guy and we couldn't see him even when second in line. When he stepped aside there was Gallagher.

Just so many questions. Shouldn't Nazi's operating in Gotham City be a bigger concern to Batman than whatever the hell the Riddler was on about that week? Batman seemed a little less surprised than he was about it, almost helpful in a way to whatever he was up to. How does the timeline work? Is some kind of crossed timeline part of the plot? Come to think of it, where the hell were the superheroes during wwii anyway? It illudes to WWII still being underway during the 60s batman timeline.

Tricky D*** on ***Laugh-In*** (1968). Sammy Davis, Jr on ***All In The Family*** (1972), and pretty much any of the window cameos when the dynamic duo was climbing a building on ***Batman*** (1966).

That was such a weird and random appearance. I loved it, but I’m still so fascinated by how Greg Davies got him to come and do a cameo, especially since Mark was probably busy doing stuff for the sequel trilogy at the time.
And also, this means Greg has a connection to Mark Hamill. Greg, do it for the fans - get Mark on Taskmaster for a New Years Treat.

Kevin Bacon on Mad About You.
They find out Jamie is pregnant, but are worried about telling the family, because some of them will get mad if they weren’t told before someone else. They decide to have a dinner party on Friday, invite the whole family, and tell everybody at once.
However, did a desire to just tell somebody is burning Jamie up inside so she tells a random woman on the elevator. Paul goes a little crazy and explains to her the 7° of separation thing, I think he makes reference to the 7° of Kevin Bacon version. Jamie dismisses it.
Hijynx ensue throughout the week. The dinner party happens. People are upset at certain people found out before they did. They all go to leave the apartment to go to the restaurant and as they open the door, the woman walks by with her date, Kevin Bacon, who turns to Jamie and says, “Oh, I heard you’re pregnant. Congratulations.”

That was basically every sitcom in the 70s and 80s. They once even had Robin Williams cameo as himself on Mork & Mindy.
And it wasn't limited to sitcoms. Famous people were always showing up as themselves on CHiPs.

Steven A Smith as Brick (no last name) on General Hospital. Recurring character, apparently
Shaq on SouthLAnd. Caught me off guard. He just pulls up as a fellow LAPD cop and starts chatting with one of the guys.

Alf popped up in an episode of Mr. Robot and OMG it was so cool.
One of my favorite parts of that story is they got their Emmy noms for season one the same week they were taping that episode. So they have a puppeteer laying on the floor of an old car filming an 80s style sitcom episode the same time they found out that they were being considered for this big honor.
Rami Malek won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series that year.

We should separate fictional characters from celebrity appearances.
Tom Selleck on Friends is very different from Nancy Reagan on Diff'rent Strokes.
