What’s a completely normal thing in video games that would be considered absolutely psychotic in real life?

having a random stranger pay you to do mundane tasks for them is pretty wild when you think about it. like, imagine someone handing you cash just to pick up a few apples in real life, it's a big yikes for sure.

The ability to walk and run literally thousands of miles, carrying more items than could conceivably fit in a cargo ship, and never sleep, eat, or get tired, all while "eliminating" random strangers based on allegiance to a group or a morality that differs from your own.

Respawning after dying… imagine getting killed and just popping back like nothing happened.

The physicality of gamer characters - they can run without tiring, can fall from great heights without injury, carry backbreaking loads, can perform acrobatic dodges and can take physical damage that would cause real people to pass out.

Loot drops in games are fine, but imagine the existential dread of looking at your pet hamster knowing there's a non-zero chance a brand new car could drop out of him if he 'despawns'.
