I’d probably have to say getting a cicada in my hair and absolutely losing all sense or grip on reality shortly thereafter. A fear of those things has been deeply instilled in me since that day.

My strongest childhood memory is the re-election of President Eisenhower in November 1956 when I was 4 years old. I also remember thinking that he was too old to be president.
