What’s a current junk food or snack obsession you’re a gluttonous piggy about, but know you’ll eventually drop?

Mine are those Black Forest organic gummy bears. I eat multiple packs a day and can't seem to quit them but know I have to. I also like those bags of flavored Dot's Pretzels.

Robins Eggs Easter Candy. They Whoppers with shell on them and they’re only around at this time of year. Couldn’t find any at the stores around her so I had to order them online! So good, but fleeting.

I've never had those! Must try.

A friend recommended a microwave silicone popcorn bowl--and I've spent most of the winter making popcorn from c**** bags of kernals. Way cheaper than the cost of other snack foods. So easy!

I've seen ads for those! Do you experiment with all those various flavors? Or do you go traditional?

Just plain. Real butter, salt, popcorn.

Italian ice, specifically Lindy’s Homemade Lemon. So cold, so good.

Never tried these! Will buy some for the summer.

All the flavors are good. Just be careful because the orange & raspberry will stain your clothes!

We prefer Luigi's because it's soft & you don't have to spend an hour scraping the top to get a quarter of a teaspoon full. Though that's kind of fun sometimes too.

Love luigis!

Will try both. Thank you!

Multiple packs a day? Your jaw muscles must be ripped. The problem with Black Forest is the texture—they’re softer than Haribo, which makes them way easier to chain-eat. If you want to quit, you have to switch back to the "Clear" Haribo bears that require an hour of chewing per bear. It’s a natural deterrent.

1-3 of those small packs a day, easy. The flavors are good and yes you absolutely nailed it - that chain-eating factor is exactly the problem. I am trying to quit all-together.

I get it, gummies are addictive. For me it’s chocolate, I can’t control it

ET091186 Mar 29, 2026 +3
Don't get me started on chocolate. What are your absolute go-to's?

QuietVector0 Mar 29, 2026 +1
Do you have this weakness too? Mine has to be only milk and whole hazelnuts.
1
ET091186 Mar 29, 2026 +2
I love. My current favorite are those Laderach slabs with hazelnuts.

I have had a lot of dental issues in the last year so I discovered [Utz Puff'n Corn ](https://www.utzsnacks.com/products/utz-puffn-corn-cheddar-cheese). It melts in your mouth so I didn't need to do any chewing when I wanted to binge on a snack but couldn't chew even the regular cheesy poofs. I go through spells with it & I have to hide it from my husband because he will start a bag & eat half in one sitting it's so easy to eat.

What is it?

Those smoke-flavored dry sausages they sell at convenience stores.

Sheeila Mar 29, 2026 +1
Ooo, I know them! I think we call them Kabanossi here. They are good.

ice cream, specifically oranges & cream or black sesame flavor
2
ET091186 Mar 29, 2026 +2
If I could eat ice cream for every meal I would. Never tried those flavors. I'm curious now.
2
dolphinitely Mar 29, 2026 +1
i’ve been replacing dinner with ice cream lately lol i can’t get enough!

ET091186 Mar 29, 2026 +2
What does black sesame taste like? What brand?
2
dolphinitely Mar 29, 2026 +2
it tastes like sesame! it’s a little sweet but mostly kind of savory. it’s impossible to explain, it breaks my brain when i eat it but i can’t get enough. it’s technically gelato and i get it at Dolcezza in Washington DC!
2
ET091186 Mar 29, 2026 +2
I must try it...now!

Croutons. Specifically the garlic ones from Costco 🫣 the bag lasts forever lol

I’m not sure if this counts, but boba drinks lol I live in the middle of nowhere so there isn’t any near me, so whenever I go to the city I get one, or if I’m staying in the city for house sitting (my job) I get one basically everyday for the week or however long, then I get sick of it by the time the week is done. After a while when I’m back in the middle of nowhere, I’m craving it again 😔 I’ve tried to make my own in multiple different ways, but it doesn’t hit the same

Mine is those ridiculously cheesy instant ramen cups, I swear I go through phases where I crave them like comfort in a bowl. I know one day I’ll randomly get sick of them and never look back, but right now I have zero self-control.

I'm dying to try those.

Jolly rancher ropes. I ate a whole bag sitting in my gym parking lot. They’re thankfully on clearance at my store so hopefully the temptation will just go away 😅

Can't recall a more nostalgic flavor than Jolly Rancher. Have not tried the ropes but I can imagine!

I have craved the Twizzler brand Cherry licorice sticks as a comfort food for the last 4 months while I wait for a surgery to cage and fuse my lower back, then fusing the lower back to my fusion from 1997. The cherry flavor and chewy, playful strings bring me a little happy break from the high, reactive pain I have while I wait for them to fix me! Yums
1
ET091186 Mar 29, 2026 +1
I can see how you'd enjoy the playful stringy quality. Classic Red Vines are my personal favorite. I eat the entire box during a movie night. But whatever gets you through the next few months is the right answer. Hope the surgery goes smoothly and gives you some real relief from the pain!
1
Otherwise-Ideal-3639 Mar 29, 2026 +2
I was on a Red Vine kick last summer, even happened upon the black version which I found kind of "meh". Small world! Thank you for your kind words; appreciate you!

Lesser Evil Spaceballs! Baked, not fried, in avocado oil. OMGs, delicious!

Oh gosh I love those haha. They're the new 'healthy' snack.

I discovered (or rediscovered?) Retro Sours candies. The Barnes and Noble near me has them, and I've bought multiples, and I'm addicted to the mouth puckering hit. [https://iconiccandy.com/collections/retrosours](https://iconiccandy.com/collections/retrosours)

Pringles, either "hot cheese and chilli" or "kickin' sour cream". I could eat nothing else. Whoever came up with this flavour deserves a medal and a talking to at the same time. 😂

I can never decide whether Pringles or Doritos are the more addicting chip.
1
Sheeila Mar 29, 2026 +2
I'm 100% with you. Whenever I have a discussion about anything addictive, I used to use Doritos as (a poor) example for myself. ("I know how hard it is to stop drinking coffee, it's like sitting next to an open pack of Doritos...") 😅 I seem to slowly switch to Pringles for now.
