A glass of water before bed, and another glass after waking, helps hydrate so much, which aids so many other functions of the body and clarity of mind

the "one minute rule" where if a task takes less than a minute you just do it immediately... my house is actually clean now

I love this idea and I think I’ll use it. Thanks for sharing!

writing things down instead of keeping everything in my head

Consistently doing small things—even when I don’t feel like it. Simple habits like a short daily walk, writing things down, or just starting tasks without overthinking ended up having a much bigger impact than any big “life change.”

Making the internal work feels more like RPG. At first it sounds silly, even when I was using it with my wife. Now it's cool to talk about daily challenging emotional stuff in a way that feels like progression and light-hearted.

I call it " adult leveling up" or upgrading. When my husband and I have a good open conversation I tell myself "yeah level up!" Even when we got our new couch after our old one had seen many families (his), been with him through university, AND still with us for like 8 years after (surprisingly durable couch) "life upgrade". Makes it feel more important.

I think it's such a good feeling when you and a partner can find the communication dynamic that works. Especially after a long-battle argument, you eventually find one solution that works. You tackled a past emotional baggage that's been holding you down and repackage it to something positive. You can truly feel that "leveling up" in real life.

Putting my phone on silent during the day suddenly I’m 10% calmer and 90% less distracted by memes I don’t even need

Drinking water. Keep a water bottle near you all the time, you'll drink water without realizing, keep yourself hydrated and have way more energy through your day thanks to that

Going for a short walk every day. It sounds simple, but it clears your head, improves your mood, and helps break up the day more than you’d expect.

This is a new change for me, but getting an e-bike and biking to work. It’s getting me in better shape, it’s fun as hell, and I wouldn’t have ever imagined saying this, but I’m excited for my morning commute now.
