Love is feeling someone’s absence as sharply as their presence.

For me, love is showing up even when it’s hard and making someone feel seen and safe ❤️

Love means when you accept the person for who he/she is and love unconditionally

Having empathy, positive regard, deeply appreciating and wanting the best for someone, without trying to control their behavior to make you feel better. This can mean loving someone from afar if their behaviors are unhealthy for you.

Love is peace, not confusion.

From someone who has been with their partner for 10+ years - I believe Love is a choice we make every day. Sometimes subconsciously, sometimes intentionally. It's calm and quiet but will show up loud and proud when you need it. It's someone who is your best friend, who is on the same page as you (or at least in the same book). It's made up of little moments - singing together in the car, experiencing new things together, talking about anything. It's where you can be totally unmasked and they still choose you. It's learning how to disagree so you can find the quickest way to resolve an argument (effectively). It's learning to take a breath and manage your emotions first. It's sacrificing your time and energy and devotion for them, knowing they are doing the same for you. It's pushing each other to be the best versions of themselves whilst completely accepting and loving them as they are. It's full of contradictions but never confusing. It's never a single emotion - it's always transient and it's always evolving. But at the end of the day, it's coming home and knowing total peace because when youre with them everything is going to be okay. You know you're a tag team and you'll get through it together. I believe this is the same for any kind of love - romantic, familial, friendship - it's still a choice, it's still pushing each other whilst accepting them for who they are. The only differences are the boundary confinement you place around that particular relationship.

Staying

Love means no shit to me .I don't believe in true love in this century .Humans today Confuse love with lust .They come to you like a total loss vehicle .everywhere used and destroyed it's not just meant to be for you it's just your turn to use it .

Something that can not be explained in words and just felt.

Not for me

Bearing someone's else's pain with them and imperfections. Loving them through it.

peace of mind. just knowing someone genuinely has your back when everything else is going wrong.

Feeling my heartbeat and pressure drop when I'm with her. Smiling for the first time in my day when I get home and hugs her.

Never having to say you're sorry

If you do something without a second thought for or because of your partner that you normally wouldn't do or would only do with substantial incentive.

I don’t believe in love. At the end of the day, we’re all just out for ourselves and every relationship is no more than a transaction.

When one finds their counterpoint in another

its often what we choose and nurture over time

Comfort, trust, and laughter all in one

someone that loves every flaws of you, stay at your lowest, and makes me feel giddy. this apples to platonic love to with my friends as well as romantically. i feel we overlook platonic love sm💔💔💔💔

Poop and pee

Not having to fear loneliness I suppose.

Huge chemical dumps triggered by another person.

Love to me is the dissolution of the self. When I love deeply, I am as much the other as I am myself.

Caring for someone else’s happiness more than your own

Overrated

It means nothing to me anymore. I obviously lived in a famous world, and I’m OK with that.

The feeling of being understood without explaining everything.

Second hand emotion

It’s someone actively going out of their way to make you a topic they’re knowledgeable about and using that knowledge to make you feel cared for. They know you like Reese’s Eggs more than the actual cup. They know your job is going to get busy next week so they grab a special treat or plan something nice for you.

It is like the smell of the soil after first rain...As we move ahead in years it is different but still feels the same. Being there with someone in high highs and low lows, discovering our different version each day as we discover other person's different version.

Love is everything to me.
