Many folks I come across are so averse to reading - they ignore printed signs and lament any instance where they have to read anything. Being able to read and write is a privilege that not every human is blessed with. I wish people realized how wonderful their lives are, even in this day and age.

Silence (Actual, real silence) In 2026, true silence is a luxury. Between the hum of the refrigerator, the distant drone of traffic, and the notifications on your phone, we are constantly bathed in nois**e.** That rare moment when you’re out in nature, or in a quiet room at 3:00 AM, and you can actually "hear" the quiet. It’s the only time your nervous system truly gets to exhale.

A hearty home cooked meal especially the one cooked by that one favourite grandmother

Trees Once you see them as living beings you will never see the world the same again

Silence at workplace

Basic human kindness. It feels like that has fallen out of favor over owning or humiliating your enemies.

Minding your own f****** business. Looking at you, people that judge lgbtq+, hobbies, interests that have no effect on you.

Time with family. Every time my family goes out somewhere, they’re always in a rush. Gotta go there. Gotta do this. Gotta hurry up with that. Gotta go home fast….like man chill out! We only get this one life and family. Pump the brakes and enjoy it while you can.
