I talk to my plants like they actually listen, and get genuinely offended if they “ignore” me.

I get it. I used to be a master gardener for a dispensary in town. I’d leave NPR playing on the radio when I left for the night. Get that weed a little more cultured lol.

Talking to myself out loud like I’m explaining things to someone else (I'm schyzo or what guys)

I actually think that’s pretty common

I do this too. It helps me before I explain to others to explain it out loud to myself. It’s like I’m presenting it to myself first to see if I explain it well.

Talking out loud can help clarify ideas, it doesnt mean anything about mental health, just that your brain works best when it hears itself

You can call it rehearsed rumination, where you use it to rehearse events that are to come, use as problem solving or understanding a situation. It becomes rumination when it has a negative load to it.
I have a lot of rehearsed rumination and rumination when it is about a negative event. Mumbling to myself and having full on conversations with no one but the scenario in my head where i am bringing someone bad news or want to understand something. When i hear myself talk, i get a better understanding of what I sound like to someone else or if my actions are too blunt or inappropriate.
Last time i had to have a negative conversation with a colleague of mine which i very much like as a person. All i could think of was harsh ways to say it, because that is how i felt. But by hearing myself saying it out loud, i could sort my feelings out. Give it another approach and settle it with my co-worker in a respectful way. For some reason i can't do such things in silence and in my head. I really need to look into it for myself.

This is one of THE best ways to organize thoughts and go over stuff you're learning. Don't ever let the smooth brains shame you into stopping.

I can’t do a mundane task, like walking to the store or cleaning my room, without imagining it’s a high-stakes slow-motion entry in an action movie. If the right song comes on my headphones, I’m not just buying milk; I’m Sultan entering a rival's territory. Apparently, most people just walk to the store without a mental 'BGM' (Background Music)

Whenever I microwave something, I always put it in for a weird amount of time. Like 93 seconds instead of 90, or 2:37 instead of 2:30 or 3:00. As a kid I noticed everyone uses such regimental times, and I felt like all the “odd” numbers felt left out. So I represent them, one extra second at a time

To make a baby after collecting all the other parts

It's very common to collect all these little baby Parts in the baby book. The first locks of hair, all of the teeth, the umbilical cord. The why, isn't something I could tell you. But I do wonder if it has something to do with previous generations making sure everything is accounted for. We didn't understand medicine the way we do now, so if a kid lost a tooth and swallowed it, they wanted to make sure it passed out the other side. Now we know we don't generally have to worry about these things as much.

My mom did this. I gave her two of my wisdom teeth when I was 18. It meant a lot to her 🙂

Think about why a male would want to become a gynecologist. One thing I can think of is that females will "present" themselves to you at the office.

Not many doctors are going to go through years and years of medical school for this. Usually they have family members or friends affected by various cancers or want to be in labor and delivery. Only 15% are male now anyways.

Ruminate and physically flinch for hours after social masking. Cause I didn’t know what that was. I just thought life was hell. Just autism, it turned out!
