What’s something you learned the hard way that everyone should know early?

Yeah, but saving doesn’t work anymore due to huge inflation and even investment barely save what you have saved There must be third and better way

I get what you mean, but saving isn’t really about beating inflation, it’s about not being stuck when something goes wrong.

I just listened to that "Smiling Faces" song from the 70s. If you don't know it, check it out. It's a good song that describes what you say.

If you don't have time to do it right, you definitely don't have time to do it wrong.

The lack of hard discussions does not equal peace. When a relationship of any kind never includes discussions over disagreement or heavy topics, it usually indicates one or both of you are intentionally hiding problems.

Here are a few things that I always mention: If you do the crime you gotta do the time, that sometimes the people that you think are your friends aren't your friends and that if you don't treat her right she will LEAVE.

As you get older you regret the things you didn't do more than the things you did. Time goes by so fast

You know how parents try to keep their kids away from bad kids and you think they’re interesting and fun so you hang out with them anyways. Well later on in life if you’re still hanging out with bad kids you can end up in a lot of really bad situations because of them.

Being a good person doesn’t guarantee a good life

Never tolerate violations of a relationship's foundations. If you have this relationship because of a shared moral conviction, for example, don't stay if they stop caring about that conviction. I refused this, and ended up enabling a very dangerous person. I thought my continued presence could bring them back to that moral conviction, after I had perceived they'd left it. The reality was that they had never had that conviction, and had no intention of being on the same grounds as me as long as they could keep me *believing* they agreed. Another way to say this bit of advice is, "don't stay with people who will appease you instead of actually engaging".
