I remember watching this in the 90's.
so, there's this millionaire (known actor) that approaches the woman of another man, (these are both known actors) and for exchange of a life changing money they agree she could spend a night with this millionaire, thinking that their relationship is strong enough, at the end the millionaire completely steals her from her guy....
I remember this moving emptying my heart with regards to illusions about love, passion, provision, what a partner really wants in a man and I was like; Jeeez im really vulnerable!!! I was about 14...
anybody know the title of this?
thanks in advance.
Only one I know of.
Robert Redford, Demi Moore and Woody Harrelson.

I dunno. I always thought it was two movies: the first half was good, but the second half always felt... off... to me for reasons I can't explain.

I will rewatch it this weekend...
But now that you mentioned it.. I think i know what you mean, wouldn't be because of the tone difference between the acts? 1st act all was hopeful towards the couple even thou they go through some hardships, then 2nd and 3rd act the slow realisation through persistence that the impossible and painful betrayal of choice actually becomes inevitable and will actually come to fruition for the dispair of the boyfriend and she just leaves on?
Its a tale of "if i must cry in life, then i rather cry seated on a ferrari then on a bus stop"

I've been thinking a lot about it since my comment, and I think there was this stark difference between this moral dilemma in the first half and (frankly) a soap opera in the second that I'm not fond of.
I don't think Redford needed to be involved in the second half at all.

Maybe the juice was in the dilemma instead of the chewing of the emotional distress.

I will be the first person to reply to your comment about googling skills to say that I copied and pasted the title into Google (I didn’t) and the FIRST result was a pair of giant boobies (it wasn’t)

Indecent Proposal with Robert Redford, Demi Moore and Woody Harrelson. That movie messed with a lot of people's heads back then - the whole "would you really do it for a million dollars" thing was brutal. Classic case of thinking money can't change everything until it does

Even though I was very young at the time, the thing I remembered the most was the feeling that movie left me with. It was brutal...they were a happy couple, the millionaire guy wasn't that attractive, but the absence of money issues and limitations as a hurdle towards the pursuit of happiness, ultimately made her accept that money could buy her happiness...brutal.

How does one come to the conclusion that this is faster than, or preferable somehow to Google? I am sincerely curious. Isnt this exactly the sort of thing AI can definitely handle now?

You wouldn't get a great movie recommendation or reminder if I just googled it, would you?
You are welcome...thank me later after you watch that forgoten classic. Great film!

You weren't looking for that? You had a specific query. What does a recommendation have to do with that?
Or do you sincerely think you have actually reminded, or even informed, me of the existence of this particular film?
Because that is an insane take.

THAT'S IT! Found it, shut down the sub!
Even though I forgot to mention the detail that the girl in the movie was initially trafficked as an infiltrated KGB agent in a child molestation cult by the elites in an attempt to getvraped by this rich fella becasue he would sooner or later become influential or even a president and thus a big asset for honeybee trap by Russia...you guessed it...wow

You can literally just put "What's that movie about a millionaire that pays to be with a guys girlfriend?" into Google and the first result is Indecent Proposal.

Curious why you went to the trouble of posting that here when you'd get the answer immediately from posting that question in a search engine. It's an easy one.
Though the writer of that also directed Slumber Party Massacre.
