My hamster ran directly into a wall. Then did it again like it was gonna work the second time. I kinda just sat there questioning everything.

We have 1/4" high transition strips that "transition" our living room wood floor from the hallway tile on 2 sides. Our dog (dachshund) approaches, mentally prepares, false-starts and finally jumps over these like she's qualifying for the Olympic high jump. And yet, she will go up and down stairs with no drama whatsoever.

Non-recognition aggression in cats. Every time without fail when we take one of our cats to the vet and bring him back, the other one is like, "Could this cat that looks looks just like my brother with whom I have spent every second of every day for 15 years be back? Nooo, he smells a little different, so he must be an entirely different cat and an intruder on my territory, I will try to murder him for the next 24-48 hours. Makes perfect sense." Say what you want about dogs, they never do this dumb shit. I'd laugh more about it if it wasn't so dangerous. I've actually heard of cases where the non recognition turned into a cycle of aggression and the two cats never recovered. In one case it didn't stop for months and months and one of the cats needed to be rehomed.

Yeah they're fine they usually get over it within a day or two. You just gotta make sure to separate them when you're not around or work from home that day to keep an eye on them while their smells stabilize as they eat the same things and groom themselves.

Never had a pet. My friend's golden though didn't know how to slow down and stop when she ran. When we tried playing fetch with her, she would run full speed until she reached the object, overshoot it and then tumble on the ground.

My cat will sometimes jump in the bathtub and chase her tail. 😆
