King of the Hill ending on an extreme high note, then coming back near 20 years later and giving us one of the best 10 episode runs the show had ever seen is a feat no other show had ever accomplished

nochiinchamp Mar 31, 2026 +74
Nobody in comedy has Mike Judge's track record of consistent excellence.
74
Tacdeho Mar 31, 2026 +33
For real. That wasn’t even the first time he has done that. The Beavis and Butthead reboots, both of them, were really well received.

chantaldesiree Apr 1, 2026 +9
I'm praying for a Daria one.

Mike Schur?

rayword45 Mar 31, 2026 +4
Just so long as you forget that The Goode Family and Extract existed lol

Mister-Distance-6698 Apr 1, 2026 +18
It would have been SO easy to have adult Bobby just be a lazy directionless schlub living at home frustrating Hank, but instead they made him not just competent but kinda thriving professionally. And the show is so much better for it.
18
Haight_Is_Love Mar 31, 2026 +8
Samurai Jack?

rayword45 Mar 31, 2026 +3
Idk if I'd say the original run ended on an "extreme high note" as there were a lot of straight up garbage episodes towards the end, the MySpace episode and Mrs Wakefield coming to mind immediately. Though if anything, it makes how good the revival season was that much more rewarding.

Toolazy2work Mar 31, 2026 +2
I’m really hoping for another new season. This last was very good!

100% Expected the worst and got one of the best tv seasons in general in recent history.
56
ElectricalDark8280 Apr 1, 2026 +14
This should have been terrible garbage, yet it was absolutely amazing. I cannot believe they were able to capture all the original magic and then some.
14
Hermiona1 Mar 31, 2026 +10
If someone told me 10 years ago we would get this banger of a comeback that actually fixes that awful ending I would not believe them.
10
minnick27 Mar 31, 2026 +11
I can’t even watch it until I know the finale is good. Two bungled finales
11
Koppite93 Mar 31, 2026 +16
Good thing you can watch it as a standalone season and enjoy a gr8 comeback
16
Hermiona1 Mar 31, 2026 +3
I thought finale was the best episode. It's not the highest rated episode of the season but I loved it
3
usable_dinosaur Mar 31, 2026 +127
Angel season 5

Buffy season 5 for that matter.

Friday Night Lights season 3 after season 2 dropped in quality so hard from season 1.
82
AFineDayForScience Mar 31, 2026 +31
I still laugh so hard about Lyla's dad asking the dude in the wheelchair how he was going to walk upstairs to change the baby. Like, why would a paraplegic buy a house with stairs?
31
AdmiralCrunch9 Mar 31, 2026 +17
I 100% believe Buddy Garrity would ask that dumbass question though
17
steponmedaddies Apr 1, 2026 +3
Buddy doesn’t get anywhere near the respect he deserves. Brad Leland absolutely owned that role
3
ShadyCrow Mar 31, 2026 +12
S2 has some awesome moments alongside the ridiculous ones. Saracen and Coach’s relationship in S2 is spectacular. It just has really low lows.
12
Craphole-Island Mar 31, 2026 +3
Oh yeah I still think season 2 is pretty good! But season 3 was a return to form IMO
3
Guzeno Mar 31, 2026 +13
And then season 4 was a huge gamble (complete change of setting and characters) and made the show even better. Honestly FNL was sooo good, I should start watching it again. And my gf doesn't know of it so it could be something to binge with her.
13
layceelee13 Mar 31, 2026 +4
I'm doing this right now with my husband (I've seen it, he hasn't) and definitely recommend a rewatch! The show really holds up and has a perfect balance of dramatic nonsense while still staying grounded in reality.
4
Guzeno Mar 31, 2026 +2
I remember recommending it to one of my housemates 10 years ago. She watched the whole thing in 4 days!
2
THEbaddestOFtheASSES Mar 31, 2026 +113
Daredevil S3 Season 2 wasn’t bad. It’s just that the first half was excellent and the second half wasn’t. But S3 came and ended up being one of the best seasons of television I’ve ever watched.
113
Wrong-Vermicelli4723 Mar 31, 2026 +22
Will be DD:BA s2 if it quality lands. S1 of BA is the worst season of the show overall
22
SkulkingSneakyTheifs Mar 31, 2026 +14
I’m a defender of BA season 1 but I do agree BA might be the worst season of the show overall. Definitely wouldn’t call it a bad season of TV to watch. It’s disjointed because of the production of it which has obviously been well documented but I’m hoping season 2 of BA is going to hit at those high levels again. Idk if it can given how much time has passed since Disney got the stuff back from Netflix and whatever but damn…. Season 3 of DD was literally top 10 season of television all time.
14
Wrong-Vermicelli4723 Mar 31, 2026 +2
I think it’s a solid 5/10, They either cut Muse content or decided not to add more to it during the crew change , making for a pretty bad mid season. The side characters as a whole kinda sucked both pre and post overhaul. Kirsten and cherry are just there and there something really off about how Heather is written.  That being said, there a lot I liked , especially the white tiger episode , bank episode and the last two of the season. it even needing to be reworked mid season kinda goes to show how out of touch Marvel was at the time. Trying to make a vigilante show with no actual vigilantism is dumb asf.
2
Hey_Pete Mar 31, 2026 +3
Was hoping to see this. Completely agree

Twin Peaks: The Return
193
Jackbuddy78 Mar 31, 2026 +47
It's really not even close, most TV comebacks suck. You watch The Return and it's like being blasted by pure creativity.
47
somersetyellow Mar 31, 2026 +12
Like getting blasted by modern art. They actually showed it in modern art museums.
12
MappleStarsSky Mar 31, 2026 +16
It' s kinda funny that, by interviews, the only reason it came back is because Mark Frost, the original writer of the tv series was on a dinner with Lynch, and he was like "Yo do you want to do more of this? I wrote a small script for it".
16
somersetyellow Mar 31, 2026 +14
Great timing too. 9 years later and over a dozen cast and Lynch himself have died. A ton of them died within a couple years of it coming out.
14
beatlerevolver66 Apr 1, 2026 +3
Several died before it even aired!
3
hikemalls Mar 31, 2026 +60
Also if we're talking Twin Peaks, the last few episodes of season 2 are a huge comeback in quality after the big drop in the middle stretch of episodes. (But yes The Return has no right to be as amazing as it is; in this house Dougie Jones is a hero)

For real, the Return is my favorite work of Lynch, and probably the best final career project of any Director
11
ninetensucks Mar 31, 2026 +2
Finishing my first series (and movie) watch through. Love the 25 years later season and I’m about done with it. Gonna bum me out because I am hooked. Ashamed it took so long to get into the series.

The 2005 season of Doctor Who
93
gigashadowwolf Mar 31, 2026 +8
Eccleston is still my favorite doctor. I really wish we got more of him. Tennant and Baker are tied for a very close second though. I also really liked Capaldi, but the writing during his tenure was abysmal, so it's hard to say where exactly he ranks. Smith definitely had a better run.
8
AdmiralAubrey Mar 31, 2026 +52
24 Season 5. The 4th season wasn't really bad and had its moments, but it was definitely feeling pretty stale. Season 5 was arguably the best of the entire series.
52
I_need_time_to_think Mar 31, 2026 +8
And then followed up with the absolute worst series (episode 4 excluded).
8
RegularGuy815 Mar 31, 2026 +3
Season 4 was the standard response for worst season for a while but I think it might have had to do with the cast overhaul, which left an almost entirely new cast from what we had been used to (until they started slowly bringing in old favorites out of nowhere). But in retrospect, the season 4 newbies (well, most of them) like Bill, Edgar, Audrey, Heller, Curtis, Logan, became the new main cast that everyone liked, so it actually doesn't seem as jarring on a rewatch. It's also why season 6-9 feel a little odd, because most of the new people they brought on in that time, especially the CTU/FBI people, ended up lasting only 1 season, so they didn't have time to grow into a kind of 3rd-era staple.
3
aschell Apr 1, 2026 +2
You guys are crazy, President Logan in season 4 was amazing!
2
RegularGuy815 Apr 1, 2026 +2
I'm just talking about the season cast generally. It was the first time that Palmer wasn't a lead character of a season so it felt odd.

wilsonw Mar 31, 2026 +76
The Comeback
76
thesearstower Mar 31, 2026 +21
It's coming back again after yet another decade-long hiatus. I was never much a fan of Lisa Kudrow before the first season in 2005, but The Comeback is absolutely brilliant.
21
IcyTransportation961 Mar 31, 2026 +6
Its already back

Community season 5
139
TwoBeeOreKnotTwoBee Mar 31, 2026 +98
Season 6 might be an even bigger comeback. NBC cancelled the show after the fifth season and it had to be picked up by Yahoo. Then they delivered one of the best finales in sitcom history.
98
ball_throwerAFK Mar 31, 2026 +33
I will forever cry when Jeff hugs Abed in the Series finale. That moment sealed it as my Goat Sitcom
33
Dallywack3r Mar 31, 2026 +11
It’s that second hug that gets me
11
BroughtBagLunchSmart Mar 31, 2026 +7
Fun fact, they couldn't recreate the cafeteria on the Yahoo stage so the first ep of season 6 has the roof collapse and they install a support in the middle of the room.
7
Dallywack3r Mar 31, 2026 +9
I love season 6 so much.
9
IShouldLiveInPepper Mar 31, 2026 +8
Season 6 is absolutely a better season and more in the vein of seasons 1-3. Season 5 was hit or miss, and while better than season 4 I’m surprised so many hold it in high regard.
8
sketchampm Mar 31, 2026 +24
This is mine. Even if the last couple of episodes are wonky, the first five episodes of Season 5 are top tier Community for me. The lie detector, the David Fincher/Ben Folds episode, Abed as Nicholas Cage and the writing was sharper than ever. Hell, I’ll even throw Meow Meow Beenz in there.
24
CharlieParkour Mar 31, 2026 +13
"the David Fincher/Ben Folds episode" You mean the ass crack bandit episode?
13
sketchampm Apr 1, 2026 +3
Yes. I was correct but I made it harder for people for no reason at all lol
3
CharlieParkour Apr 1, 2026 +2
Those who know, know. I just like saying ass crack bandit. It's great that they took a throwaway line from an earlier season and turned into an entire episode that stands up to most anything from season 2 or 3. And they left it open ended so there's all kinds of great listnook lore about the actual identity of the bandit. Absolute gold.
2
usernameinmail Mar 31, 2026 +62
Whenever Parks & Recreation lost Brandanaquits and added Chris and Ben
62
tommyjohnpauljones Mar 31, 2026 +32
Season 3, but I wouldn't really call it a comeback as much of a reworking. The first two seasons are fine but it still feels like an Office copy. Once they tapped fully into the supporting cast and made Adam Scott a main actor, it took off.
32
lhp220 Mar 31, 2026 +15
I feel like people say season one is a copy of the office. But pretty early on in season two of the show takes a huge leap and quality. There’s a long stretch of episodes in season two that have some of my favorites from the whole series. Including the one about scheduling 94 meetings on March 31! Ha
15
DM725 Apr 1, 2026 +7
Adam Scott and Rob Lowe join at the end of season 2 for several episodes prior to season 3. People erase the fact they were on the show at the same time as Mark Brandanowitz.
7
HalxQuixotic Mar 31, 2026 +61
Star Trek Deep Space Nine season 4. They added Michael Dorn’s Worf to the cast coming right off the theatrical success of Star Trek Generations. They also fully embraced a serialized and long story arc format involving the galactic politics of the universe. Plus, they were now fully comfortable with using CGI to animate space ships and battles, so the season premiered with a huge and exciting battle scene. It’s my favorite of the Star Trek series and I love all of it. But it really starts to cook in season 4.
61
readwrite_blue Mar 31, 2026 +21
I agree with everything you said but it's not like season 3 was a dud. When I think "comeback" I think a rebound from a low point.
21
Massive_Weiner Mar 31, 2026 +3
Exactly. They’re trying to point to S4 for when the show locks in, rather than when it “recovers.” I would personally say that S3 was when we started getting more good episodes than duds.
3
0000000000000007 Mar 31, 2026 +18
You forgot Sisko’s hair
18
teflonbob Mar 31, 2026 +5
This is the correct answer. Things changed when the hair changed. Same with Riker’s beard.
5
bailaoban Mar 31, 2026 +4
Intro of Worf and the Dominion War really brought DS9 to the next level.
4
Early-Piano2647 Mar 31, 2026 +84
Might be the new season of Scrubs if I’m honest.
84
NBucho528 Mar 31, 2026 +25
I was a fairly passive fan of the original run, and what’s remarkable is that the new season has felt nearly identical to the original. Of course it covers modern medical issues, but the tone is similar, the cutaways haven’t changed to try to make them feel more “modern”, and it doesn’t feel the need to create season-long story arcs. I definitely haven’t learned the names of all the new med students but I’d say they’re doing a great job at fitting in. All in all, it’s exactly what the original one was- a feel good comedy with poignant moments.
25
midnightmoose Mar 31, 2026 +11
I hope writers are paying attention to the series how it demonstrates the difference between being faithful to the original series without becoming nostalgia bait. It continues the style, setting and tone of the original series without being dependant on references to it.
11
NBucho528 Apr 1, 2026 +2
On top of that, the new show understands what made fans love the characters, and not just things that the characters did in the original series. If a revival show basically feels like “remember when this, that, and THAT happened?”, that is often the first sign that they didn’t really have many new ideas to discuss at all.
2
sinZeroplus Mar 31, 2026 +14
It’s because it’s Bill Lawrence (and his crew). Scrubs, Cougar Town, Ted Lasso s1, Shrinking…etc dude knows how to write tv. He also grabbed a lot of dna from the Drew Carey show.
14
xavPa-64 Mar 31, 2026 +2
Scrubs, Shrinking, and Ted Lasso all have a character with a parent where they resent it people like them lol
2
Einsteinbomb Mar 31, 2026 +2
His show Rooster on HBO is one of the biggest hits on the platform.
2
thyman3 Mar 31, 2026 +5
Even without that, Season 8 would be in the running after the mess Season 7 turned into during the writer's strike.
5
ExtraGloves Mar 31, 2026 +3
If you count the final weird season this definitely counts. I just never counted that as a real season lol.
3
Duccix Mar 31, 2026 +11
Samurai Jack and King of the Hill
11
Jidarious Mar 31, 2026 +54
I heard Kim Kardashian has a great comeback story.
54
Famous-Prior6590 Mar 31, 2026 +1
It was technically on a tv screen.
1
Corlegan Mar 31, 2026 +33
Picard S3. It was like one day the writers woke up and said “let’s try good for a change.”
33
Funandgeeky Mar 31, 2026 +13
What if we gave the fans what they actually wanted?
13
FilthyTrashPeople Mar 31, 2026 +3
No, they must "subvert expectations." If it's an adaptation they must "have room to tell their own stories" and that the "show and the game/movie/book are their own thing." None of them can just do what they are supposed to do. I guess it's a bold experiment among filmmakers to completely destroy the medium
3
unconundrum Mar 31, 2026 +9
Eh, even that had serious issues, half of which were Jack devolving from character to plot device.
9
cynic74 Mar 31, 2026 +4
At least Picard S3 was Trek. All these other new "Trek" shows just don't get it.
4
flossdaily Mar 31, 2026 +5
Eh ... Gotta disagree there. S3 starts with a completely out-of-character Beverly Crusher as an action hero. Then Picard, who was told to trust *no one*, immediately blabs to Riker (whatever), and the two of them go off like complete bumbling idiots to hijack the *Titan*. Then we meet Jack, and Riker's like oh man, does he remind you of anyone? And the audience is like: actually, no.
5
Pugilist12 Mar 31, 2026 +25
Twin Peaks The Return and it isn’t close. Party Down would be next for me. Would also accept Community S5 and S6.
25
Popular-Drummer-7989 Mar 31, 2026 +11
The Comeback! Valerie Cherish did that 😉
11
EchoesofIllyria Mar 31, 2026 +13
Do you mean as in returns to form or literally coming back after a break?
13
sketchampm Mar 31, 2026 +12
OP should have probably given an explanation. Many are answering as if a show fully ended or was cancelled but looking at their example, it seems they *meant* to imply after a dip in quality.
12
thesearstower Mar 31, 2026 +9
Kim Kardashian
9
iuse2bgood Mar 31, 2026 +8
Homeland season4 is a comeback?
8
fax5jrj Mar 31, 2026 +8
Yes - OP didn't really explain it clearly, but they mean a show coming back from a bad season to deliver a fantastic season of TV.
8
ExtraGloves Mar 31, 2026 +3
Unless I remember wrong I’d say the final season was a good comeback from the previous 2. I’m rewatching it now but still on season 5. I remember s6 and 7 being ok but final season being great.
3
KennyShowers Mar 31, 2026 +3
It definitely gets way better after they wrap up the Brody thing in S3. That storyline was driven into the ground and got so ridiculous and most people tuned out, but when the focus of the show gets more flexible and shifts to other stuff it gets pretty good again.
3
didhugh Mar 31, 2026 +2
I agree that Season 4 was good, but Season 5 and 6 were awful, they were making the same mistakes with Quinn as they did with Brody. Season 7 I'd say was actually an even bigger comeback for the show.
2
CrossoverEpisodeMeme Mar 31, 2026 +3
Thinking the same thing, that season was such a drop from 1-3 that it made me stop watching the show lol
3
tucklyjones7 Mar 31, 2026 +4
Dexter ressurection
4
Secoup Mar 31, 2026 +6
The West Wing season 7. Its great through the 4th season, then 5 and 6 are slogs to get through and picks up again for the final season.
6
murderous_penguin Mar 31, 2026 +8
I had tried multiple times to get through season 5 for years. Finally powered through. I’d say the show gets its groove back when Santos shows up in season 6, then season 7 is back to meeting the quality of the early seasons (though never matching the peak). The show is just at its best when it’s on the campaign trail.
8
Secoup Mar 31, 2026 +2
Ya after Bartletts reelection is when it hits a valley for awhile.
2
Upbeat_Tension_8077 Mar 31, 2026 +7
Fargo Season 5 (although I thought Season 4 had it's share of good moments)
7
oldscotch Mar 31, 2026 +2
The only thing I liked about Season 4 was the David Lynch episode. Otherwise, it was an interesting season of television but it did not feel like the same show. Season 5 was a very welcome return to its roots.
2
chloe-and-timmy Mar 31, 2026 +11
Arguably Simpsons season 33. Even if you disagree there's been an upturn in quality, managing to turn "is the show watchable again" into a discussion again after 15 years of the reputatiin it had is a herculean feat.
11
Sonichu- Mar 31, 2026 +6
Every season people say The Simpsons is good again. It's never been true.
6
chloe-and-timmy Mar 31, 2026 +3
Cannot stress enough that Im not actually trying to argue takes about the show, which is why I say "even if you disagree" because people obviously do. Just pointing out the fact that a genuine conversation has come around Selman's run of the show compared to the Jean era that preceded it.
3
Hank_Scorpio_ObGyn Mar 31, 2026 +7
Season 3 of **Friday Night Lights.** Season 1 was good, season 2 was mostly shit....season 3 and beyond was amazing television.
7
ShrugOfATLAS Mar 31, 2026 +3
Friday Night Lights season 4 and 5 not only lost most of the main cast but grew on it. Coach is all time male figure on tv Texas forever
3
welltherewasthisbear Mar 31, 2026 +3
Season 4 of American Dad. Same as Parks and Rec where it struggled to find its voice the first couple of seasons. It didn’t help that many people thought it was Family Guy 2.0. Once it made everyone in the family insane then it really got going.
3
FilthyTrashPeople Mar 31, 2026 +2
It's kind of crazy how much I like watching American Dad but can barely force myself through a Family Guy episode.
2
Sulemain123 Mar 31, 2026 +3
Season 2 of Iron Fist was *so* much better than Season 1!
3

LOST S4; S3 was so muddled - tho you could feel them getting back on track in the last 5ep, but 4 was a banger throughout and ending with such a wild cliffhanger
4
Funandgeeky Mar 31, 2026 +6
The season 3 finale is still one of the best season finales I’ve ever seen. I was utterly gobsmacked. And it set up season 4 brilliantly. And season 4 had The Constant which is one of the best episodes of television ever made.
6
Scandien Mar 31, 2026 +2
Castlevania Nocturne season 2
2
noradosmith Mar 31, 2026 +2
Mr Robot seasons 3 and 4. 4 was especially good
2
Jason-Casey-Art Mar 31, 2026 +2
Parks and Rec season 3. Improved the show so greatly that when I do rewatch, I skip the first two seasons.
2
unironicsigh Apr 1, 2026 +2
Friday Night Lights season 3 owns this question and it's not close. It went from having a near-perfect 10/10 season 1, to an inexplicably awful second season that went creatively off the rails entirely, to somehow returning to its best literally instantly in season 3 with another near-perfect season. Insane roller-coaster of a first three seasons, I still have no idea wtf happened in season 2 for the quality to nosedive so much, almost every decision they made from a storytelling POV was wrong....and then they rectified everything instantly in season 3 in the best way possible
2
lawdjesustheresafire Apr 1, 2026 +2
One of Homeland’s main protagonists leaves at the end of S3. S4 was an amazing reboot with probably one of the best episodes of TV ever towards the end. It set the tone for the rest of the show going forward.

The start of Season 3 is a bit rough, but from midseason onwards (after the tattoo episode) it got better and better, and the final run of episodes is among the show's best. Season 4 really continued the upwards trajectory of late Season 3.

I feel like season 3 was fantastic down the home stretch, specifically the Charlie - Greatest Hits plotline and, of course, the finale. It felt like season 4 picked up where season 3 left off. With that said, I think the first half or two-thirds of season 3 was not good.

Always Sunny season 16. Seasons like 11-15 felt so dull and mediocre that I thought the show was on its way to ending. Season 16 was an excellent return to form and has some of my favorite episodes in the whole show, especially Frank vs. Russia.

Diversity Day and maybe Basketball are the standouts of Season 1, but otherwise I agree.

lylastermind Mar 31, 2026 +3
I can't believe the Expanse and Firefly aren't getting shoutouts. Granted the comeback criteria was a vague prompt, but anytime the fans resurrect a show that deserves praise.

Draxtonsmitz Mar 31, 2026 +3
Firefly? I know they said they were making a new cartoon version but can you really call it a great comeback before it is even released? If it even gets released?

FilthyTrashPeople Mar 31, 2026 +3
Maybe he's referring to Serenity, which was a hell of a finale.

Oh yeah. It's peak. It honestly might be my favorite season. I was so excited for 5. "My disappointment was immeasurable, and my day was ruined."

Clone Wars season 7. Season 5 and 6 slap but holy hell is season 7 just pure art

Not sure what you mean, but the office ( us version ) comes to mind. The first season is bad. Seasons 2-7 are master pieces and lots of people consider it one of the best shows of all time. To explain the comeback, a lot of people had no hope for a US remake of the already popular uk version. I think Steve Carrel recently said he was told not to audition for it and it also had the worst pilot ratings in NBC history.

HotOne9364 Mar 31, 2026 +7
Season 6 and 7 were pretty damn bad.

SnausageFest Mar 31, 2026 +2
I don't know that they were entirely *bad,* but they were a great example of why the vast majority of shows should last 4-5 seasons max.

I think comeback means a show was good, then dropped, then returned to form. So it takes at least 3 seasons to go through that cycle.

Not greatest of all time, but I recall that ER had gotten really stale around like season 7, but then randomly like season's 8 and 9 were really good, then it went back to being meh again for 6 seasons, lol.

Homeland season 4 was such a wild rebound, especially after how messy season 3 felt. Moving the story to Pakistan and focusing less on Brody gave it a completely different energy, and Carrie actually felt sharp again instead of all over the place. The tension that whole season was unreal, especially the embassy stuff. It’s one of the few shows where I almost dropped it and then got pulled right back in.

If we are talking series as a whole universe Then Knight of the 7 kingdoms greatly rejuvenated a potentially dying IP Just as a series, id have to say: MHA season 6 Or Agents of Shield season 2

Hmm Stargate Universe season 2 for me. I was so pumped at the end of that season and was shocked at how amazing the show turned out. Then syfy former sci-fi channel decided B tier wrestling was more in like with syfy than actual sci-fi shows. So many great shows got the chopping block as well. Stargate Universe Season 1 was basically trying to be Battlestar gallactica, which was never my cup of tea. But season 2 actually transitioned into peak science fiction and some of the best Stargate episodes ever made. I think every Stargate fan disliked season 1 and the initial bits of season 2, but then we were all gutted by the cancelation after such an amazing season 2 and one of the greatest cliffhangers of all time.

Maybe the final season of ER? It’s been a while but it dragged a bit towards the end seasons but I remember loving the final season and finale.

Arrow season 5. Prometheus was a fantastic villain and the introduction of new street level heroes surprisingly refreshed the show after the train wreck that was season 4

I thought that the walking dead went from just being horrible To being quite enjoyable again after they brought in a new person to run it in the later seasons Quite a few people who were still watching seemed to think that way too

I’m literally watching the Homeland pilot right now as I scroll past this lol I don’t know that I’ve stuck around for any comebacks, usually if a show gets bad I stop watching. But Community season 5 is the closest I’ve seen, even though I don’t think season 4 was as bad as everyone acted like

The Expanse, Season 3. Why is it called The Expanse? Well you find out in Season 3 Episode 7. The story takes a major turn from the "Earth vs Mars vs Belters" story, to "Everyone vs What the f*** is that!?".

All of these are a stretch, but whatever: * Most people prefer the middle seasons of Johnny Bravo - it was originally canned after its first season, then revived a couple years later but without the original creator Van Partible and retooled to be less raunchy and more of an ensemble comedy. The last season had Partible return and revert more to the S1 style but fans weren't having it, poor guy. * Tuca and Bertie came back from cancellation with an even better second season. Some would say S3 continued this trend, truthfully I would not (it was still good but an obvious drop in quality from the first 2 seasons) * The Life and Times of Tim was originally cancelled after its second season, because ratings were abysmal, because nobody had ever heard of it, because HBO never bothered advertising it, because they didn't actually own it - Media Rights Capital did. After attempts to sell the show to other networks failed, HBO decided to renew it for a third season. The rumor is they were motivated to do so because of multiple actors/comedians who they were eager to work with asking if they could guest on the show (if you wanted to stretch things, you could call Ten Year Old Tom a comeback prequel, and if you REALLY wanted to stretch things, you could call Animals a spiritual comeback).
