Holding grudges and overthinking conversations from weeks ago. It’s mentally exhausting and completely pointless, yet I still do it.
127
Impressive_Sea_7316 Mar 30, 2026 +11
Totally. Just yesterday I was thinking about a convo from last month… why do we do this to ourselves?
11
JimeVR46 Mar 30, 2026 +7
My favorite is when I bring up something I said weeks ago to like, redeem myself or something because I’ve convinced myself I was taken the wrong way. And then of course nobody remembers anything about that conversation

Seaboard_Vanisher Mar 30, 2026 +112
Smoke. I need to stop, but it’s a process.

wish1977 Mar 30, 2026 +14
Try toothpicks and mints, it worked for me.
14
32FlavorsofCrazy Mar 30, 2026 +8
Do you grind them first or how do you roll it up?
8
VegetableFucker65 Mar 30, 2026 +7
Grind the mints, and roll it with toothpicks

Beautiful_Film_1813 Mar 30, 2026 +4
I’m 5 weeks vape free tomorrow. Sometimes I’m good and don’t even think about it, occasionally I get intense cravings that make me wanna scream and make me feel restless. I quit pretty much cold turkey besides a few pieces of nicotine gum here and there, probably like 4-5 total. I honestly wish I used the nicotine gum more, especially weeks 2-3. I probably would have caved those weeks except I was too fatigued and depressed from the nicotine withdrawal to drive to the vape store lmao.
4
Seaboard_Vanisher Mar 30, 2026 +3
I’m definitely going to quit this year. Nicotine gum actually helped me stop a few years back, but old habits die hard. I’m gonna get some tomorrow and tough it out again.
3
Fun_Cow_6292 Mar 30, 2026 +6
Try Fum or a flavoured breathing device. They both use vape flavoured cores (fruit or menthol/mint) & there's no vapour or nicotine, just flavoured air. It gives a slight throat hit & helps with the hand to mouth habit (oral fixation). Pairing that method with a nicotine patch has the highest quit rate. Good luck with whatever you choose xx
6
Seaboard_Vanisher Mar 30, 2026 +2
Thank you for the advice. I’ll definitely look it up and implement it.
2
AromaticPiece690 Mar 30, 2026 +2
Five weeks is huge, congrats. Those cravings sound brutal, but honestly, getting through the roughest weeks without giving in is proof you’re stronger than the vape.
2
whiskeytangosix Mar 30, 2026 +2
Me too. Got back into it dealing with my father going in to hospice. Was traveling a bunch and just needed something. I am not a big drinker so back to the ol’ coffin nails.
2
jendet010 Mar 30, 2026 +2
I’m going to be honest. Eventually, I was too damn old to stand outside in the cold. Everything has its limits.
2
stardustbby1 Mar 30, 2026 +89

47
KatAstrophie- Mar 30, 2026 +5
Same here. It’s 4am and I’m yet to sleep. Been contemplating going downstairs for a drink for the last 3 hours but I’m afraid I’ll wake the house up.
5
blushpetall1 Mar 30, 2026 +70
Skipping breakfast and then eating like shit at lunch because I’m starving. My energy and mood suffer all day because of it.
70
Express_Pudding716 Mar 30, 2026 +4
I feel this so much, once I skip breakfast, my whole day spirals and I’m cranky and drained by lunch. It’s wild how one small meal can change everything.
4
Soupfriend Mar 30, 2026 +2
Ugh reminded me to stick with oatmeal when I wake up

I don't drink heavily, but I have two drinks almost every night. No drunkenness, no personality changes, no hangovers, I just enjoy it. But it's more than medically recommended.

Staying up late and disrupted sleep are yndoubtedly the most common and harmful unhalthy habits,We all know it's bad for our health, but we just can't control ourselves from staying up late,lt disrupts metabolism, damages the skin, affects mood, and weakens the immune system-problems that almost everyone faces today.
2

I stopped drinking pop. Haven't had an alcoholic drink in three weeks. Started incorporating more veggies into my diet which includes more home cooking. I drink over half a gallon of water every day not including the black coffee I drink. So my answer is go to work. Not every single day, but most days.

Working at a job that's toxic. 3 years from retirement so starting over isn't an option. I love my job and what I do, the mgt shift years ago went from a very boomer heavy to now a millennial heavy team. They don't get it. Very judgemental, think they've better and dress so casually one wouldn't even know they're in charge. Just trying to stomach it for 3 more. Not sure if I can.

Going to bed late
1
Rainbowborn Mar 30, 2026 +1
The most common unhealthy daily habit is excessive sitting, which functions as a sedentary lifestyle, leading to poor circulation, metabolic slowdown, and increased risks of obesity and heart disease. Other common detrimental habits include constant screen time, poor diet, and insufficient sleep.  Usage Examples of Unhealthy Daily Habits Excessive Sitting: Working at a desk for 8+ hours, commuting, and watching TV without taking breaks to stand or walk around. Poor Diet: Consuming convenience foods, processed snacks, or sugary drinks regularly. Digital Overload: "Doomscrolling" on social media apps or spending long hours on mobile phones. Poor Sleep Hygiene: Staying up late, resulting in less than 6-7 hours of sleep.  Synonyms and Related Terms For Sitting: Sedentary behavior, lack of physical activity, "sitting disease". For Diet: Poor nutrition, mindless eating, junk food consumption. For Screen Time: Digital overconsumption, technological obsession. General Terms: Detrimental habits, daily risks, "silent destroyers" of health.  How to Fix These Habits Move Frequently: Stand and stretch every 30-45 minutes or use a standing desk. Prioritize Nutrition: Choose whole foods over processed ones. Improve Sleep: Create a consistent, earlier bedtime routine.
