Growing up with parents who resented and abused me.

You didn’t deserve that, and I hope you know that’s a reflection of them and not you

I hear you. Although I am to blame for mine, because of my depression I’ve stopped socialising with all my friends

Same here and it's also been (almost) 2 years. Still can't sleep some nights because of it

The first 8 months of child's life, she didn't sleep well at all. So I only got 3 hours a night but not even together as I was only getting an hour max before being woken up. I literally went insane

I get cranky if I don’t get one good night’s sleep, 8 months must have been a challenge.

8 days ago, I lost my 6-week-old puppy. I saw her grow and develop from the very fist day. I miss her so much. The vet was incompetent, so we never even got a clear diagnosis.

Nothing angers me more than stupid people making a situation worse. I’m burying my nephew today and it’s breaking my heart 💔

The courage to go through recovery again is commendable. I hope you succeed in this one.

My son passing away the end of last year. He was 23, and had no health issues that we know of. I also found a close friend dead about 2 weeks ago.

I’m sorry to hear, my thoughts are with you. I’m going through something similar and it’s truly heart breaking. I hope you gain the patience and courage to get through it.

It's a tie between my brother dying of a drug overdose and losing my first child late in pregnancy.

I can’t begin to imagine how that must have been. I’m sorry to hear

Building someone, then getting dumped by her. Years later, her texting me because she married the wrong guy (physical abuser). I couldn't do anything. I guess the love never fades away.

If it’s any constellation, she recognised her mistake

A horrible combination of events. I’ve been through a lot, but this broke me. Sibling died (which nearly broke me in itself). Few years later parents died (which probably broke me a bit). Then i got sick (really tortuously ill) and someone i trusted completely started treating me really badly and when i started getting well i realised they had basically robbed me while thinking they ‘were owed’

I may never be able to get over that. I will certainly never forget it, and it has changed my perceptions of people a lot

It wasn’t just that though. I think after my parent’s death i realised that most people didn’t really care about us as people (those closest). Grieving while everyone is worries about the assets is just the most disheartening experience ever. I wasn’t really up to it. That’s probably one of the reasons I got so ill.
