Hey everyone! I've been trying to be more intentional with my weekends lately. I usually just end up sleeping in and then scrambling to get chores done.
What are your favorite rituals or routines for a relaxing Sunday morning? Do you have a special coffee routine, a favorite walking route, or a book you're currently enjoying? Let me know! I'd love some inspiration to start my days better.1
I usually start my Sundays with a run, then I’ll take my dogs on a hike, and then come home to make my food for the week while I listen to music.

Coffee on the couch or front porch (when it's not 12 degrees and snowing) with my dog.

I usually make a big breakfast of eggs, potatoes, bacon wrapped in warm tortillas. Sometimes with green chile. Play spa music and light a scented candle while cooking. The calm is awesome.

Coffee on the couch with hubs and the kitties. Sometimes with a book, sometimes with just some YouTube videos and cuddles.
It's my favorite morning routine out of all my morning routines.

I'll watch my news or ACC Network (Atlantic Coast Conference). Make sure to give my cat TONS of attention. I'll eat some Greek yogurt and banana. Head on to the gym and drink a protein shake.

Me miss old internet too. Me wish Time Machine. Go back to better time; when me can buy wooly mammoth meat at ₩6.00* / lbs
*₩ = rocks
₩9.75 = 9 rock +75 stone
(Rock bigger than stone)

I love coffee and the newspaper, then a walk at the beach, then chores/errands, etc.

For years, every Sunday morning my now-husband and I would pick up coffee/breakfast from a local shop and take it to a park, then walk the trails. (You can also just grab a snack and drink from home.) Nature is a good antidote to the Sunday scaries.
Now we have a toddler, so quiet Sunday mornings no longer exist, but I still try to make a hot cup of tea and get outside.

In the non-winter months, I start Sunday with mowing the lawn and I love it. I never would have figured yard work would be something I enjoy but I genuinely miss it in the winter.

My normal Sunday morning consists of getting up, putting on the green jeans, running camp, doing the sewer and water checks, getting the hosts cleaning duties out for the day and doing all of that in an hour so I can make it to morning report when the rest of the staff comes in.
Now my Thursday mornings I sleep in until about 6 am, get up, fart around on my phone, then chill on the couch with the husband and watch old tv shows.

When I wake up, I get dressed for the day. Something that makes me feel cute. It puts me in this "ready for anything" mood and next thing I know I'm running out for a coffee or something. So, no set plan, but just setting the tone for the day.

I like to start with coffee, then I pet the doggies and we all stare out the front window aimlessly. Then my ritual is to disinfect the kitchen and clean the microwave, stainless steel, etc. I don't know why but I love doing it.

We have a Sunday morning family chat every week with my in laws (mom, dad, 4 siblings, and their kids) to say hi and catch up.
Then I like to walk my dogs, feed and water my outdoor fish, and bird watch a bit while I have coffee or tea.
Then on to figuring out something nice to make for Sinday dinner and kind of plan for weekly meal prep and go to the little grocery store where everyone is friendly to grab food.
After that back home to make dinner, have some beer or cider, and watch some TV or a movie with my partner and dogs. ❤️

I like to laze in bed and watch something really different, like a foreign film or some guilty pleasure show. It feels like special "me time."

Feed my cat, feed my goldfish (he is 24) and make myself a bacon roll with a coffee. Then I doom scroll through the internet and hope it rains so I don’t have to start weeding the garden and move from my comfy chair.
