When is the last time you actually purchased a daily newspaper, if at all?

A couple of months ago. I was getting on a long flight and wanted something to read without wi-fi, and the cryptic crossword.

Never in my entire 27 years as a living, walking, breathing being in my life. I don't know whether I should be proud or ashamed.

Just wanted to say that you can find most newspapers for free at your local library! I know the one I worked at gets 10 different papers.

I’m a former “newspaperman.” I love newspapers and loved working at them. I love print and ink and crappy paper. I still think they have a vital role in our society. Buuuuut… it’s been about seven years. I bought one because there was a big story about a good friend, another newspaper veteran, who had died. I thought it was fitting to have it in print.

I purchased a newspaper exactly once after I moved to a new town to find a place to rent.  This was 2013iah

Thanksgiving 2025 Before that it was probably 5-6 years ago.

i buy bundles of them from the grocery for $2 tostart my wood stove in the winter
