Seconding Jessica Walter *"I mean, it's one banana, Michael. What could it cost? 10 dollars?"*
104
masimone Apr 14, 2026 +23
Michael: It is going to up in Tahoe a couple more days. Maybe you could take a date Lucille: How am I supposed to find someone willing to go into that musty old claptrap? Michael: [Michael stares at her awkwardly] The cabin... yes! That would be difficult, too.

ImSuperSerialGuys Apr 14, 2026 +16
"*Here's $20. Go see a Star War*"
16
JustPiera Apr 15, 2026 +1
I'm guilty of quoting this line to my Star Wars obsessed friends lol
1
kwamla24 Apr 14, 2026 +15
"I don't care for Gob"
15
eatitfatman Apr 15, 2026 +11
Thirding Jessica Walter, but from *Archer* (basically identical to Lucille Bluth): *"If I did want a grandchild, I'd just scrape all your previous mishaps into a big pile and knit a onesie for it"*
11
JustPiera Apr 15, 2026 +3
yea, another Archer fan. I teared up a bit when her character died on the show
3
At_the_Roundhouse Apr 15, 2026 +5
I wanna cry so bad but I don’t think I can spare the moisture.
5
JustPiera Apr 15, 2026 +1
I forgot about that line! I'm going to have to put that in my quote rotation :D
1
Shenanigans_1977 Apr 15, 2026 +3
With this economy we aren’t far from that line being a statement of truth 🤣
3
JustPiera Apr 15, 2026 +1
for real. We're going to have to start saying "20 dollars" soon
1
insertbrackets Apr 15, 2026 +3
“If I wanted something your thumb touched, I’d eat the inside of your ear!”
3
JustPiera Apr 15, 2026 +2
damn I forgot that quote too. I really need to do a rewatch of Arrested Development
2
insertbrackets Apr 15, 2026 +2
Another favorite which I quote often is: “I don’t understand the question and I won’t respond to it.” Best accompanied by a slightly downcast but withering gaze.
2
JustPiera Apr 15, 2026 +1
there's a gif of that quote that I use often lol
1
moxieroxsox Apr 14, 2026 +3
Literally quoted this last night.
3
JustPiera Apr 14, 2026 +2
Jessica Walter is endlessly quotable :D
2
ThisIsTheNewSleeve Apr 14, 2026 +35
David Cross in Arrested Development. Tobias never fails to make me laugh no matter how many times I watch it.
35
futureformerteacher Apr 14, 2026 +11
"I like 'Hot Sailors'" "Mmmm, me too..."
11
ThisIsTheNewSleeve Apr 14, 2026 +11
You, sir, are a mouthful.
11
jpuzz Apr 14, 2026 +10
Even the non “foot in the mouth” stuff is great - his hair transplant rejecting him, Mrs. Featherbottom, Dr. Funke’s Old-Fashioned, Good Time, Family Band Solution…
10
ThisIsTheNewSleeve Apr 15, 2026 +1
Oh for sure. Just the physical humour he puts into it is crazy. Just his movements are hilarious
1
insertbrackets Apr 15, 2026 +3
“Even if it means me taking a chubby, I will suck it up.”
3
UslyfoxU Apr 14, 2026 +59
The entire cast of What We Do In The Shadows brought their A game for the entire run of the show, but the Jackie Daytona and "drug blood" episodes stand out as unmatched comedic performances.
59
ArgosLoops Apr 14, 2026 +18
That wasn't a performance, that was just regular human bartender Jackie Daytona

30 Rock - Dr. Spaceman (fyi, it's pronounced "Spih-cheh-min")
57
EnzoMcFly_jr Apr 14, 2026 +47
*shows up covered in blood* “Oh this? No. This isn’t what it looks like. I was at a costume party earlier tonight and the host’s dog attacked me so I had to stab it.”
47
jonesbones99 Apr 14, 2026 +15
Sometimes I think about this joke and how it suggests that 1) he goes to a costume party dressed as a doctor because he’s a “doctor”, 2) he chose not to change his clothes after leaving the party, and 3) he didn’t wash at all even though he’s now coming out of the room where Jack was recovering from his heart attack.
15
At_the_Roundhouse Apr 15, 2026 +6
Now, Jenna, medically speaking, for your height, your weight puts you in what we call the disgusting range. Fortunately, there are solutions. For example, crystal meth has been shown to be very effective. How important is tooth retention to you?
6
tagen Apr 15, 2026 +3
i love chris parnell so much, he’s the master of starting a sentence thinking it’s going one way, then going somewhere completely different, sometimes multiple times in the same sentence lol
3
DrummerGuy06 Apr 15, 2026 +3
"Boy, it's crazy to think we used to settle questions of paternity by dunking a woman in water until she admitted she made it all up. Different time, the '60s."
3

New York... Diabetes repair, I guess?
3
Geobead Apr 14, 2026 +29
Lucille Ball on I Love Lucy. The Vitameatvegemin and Bill Holden episodes will never not make me cry with laughter.
29
cheeses_greist Apr 14, 2026 +5
Yes! How many times have I watched these episodes and I still laugh like a hyena. So many episodes start with “Lucy wants to get into show business” and each one is so funny. My favorite is the one where Lucy gets dressed in a full showgirl costume but the headdress is too heavy for her. Chaos ensues.
5
Iron_Chic Apr 14, 2026 +3
Lucy and Ethel trying to wrap the chocolates is my favorite!
3
Dancingedleslie Apr 14, 2026 +3
Yea I’m a millennial so these were even before my time but it’s still some of the funniest stuff I’ve ever seen. I remember being show the Vitameatvegemin episode in middle school for…reasons? She was brilliant. The whole cast was really.
3
thicc-description Apr 14, 2026 +25
Catherine O’Hara on Schitt’s Creek “I BELIEVE YOU SHAVED HER HEAD! GIVE HER A WIG. NOT ONE OF MINE”
25
Overall-Bullfrog5433 Apr 15, 2026 +3
Catherine O’Hara and Andrea Martin on an old SCTV bit, “English for Beginners”. It is on youtube and makes me laugh every time like the first time.

That scene kills me every time. Her delivery is so unhinged yet precise, it just keeps getting funnier on rewatch.

Anything Frank Costanza.
14
ZwVJHSPiMiaiAAvtAbKq Apr 14, 2026 +5
The festivus episode where Frank's describing viciously beating another father who was trying to buy the same toy for Christmas never fails to crack me up. His delivery was perfect.
5
bobloblawblogger Apr 14, 2026 +12
You let him play in the sun?!?
12
greennurse61 Apr 14, 2026 +9
He wouldn’t have gotten sunburn if he was in a movie theater watching a Star War.
9
Dancingedleslie Apr 14, 2026 +12
Julia Louis-Dreyfus in Veep. But honestly the whole cast was good.

He was also on Star Trek. Television and a movie.

ReluctantlyHuman Apr 14, 2026 +1
I just saw him in a dramatic role in an episode of House. It was an adjustment for sure.
1
Bob_the_brewer Apr 14, 2026 +5
Have you seen him as the bad guy in RoboCop? That was a shock lol
5
ReluctantlyHuman Apr 14, 2026 +2
I’ve seen RoboCop but I was a wee lad. Arguably too young to be watching RoboCop in fact. I think he was sort of the antagonist in Good Poet’s Society too with another character from House as his son.
2
IndieCurtis Apr 14, 2026 +2
He plays a coke addict in Patriot, it’s fantastic
2
Mysterious_Field1517 Apr 15, 2026 +3
I've just watched an episode where he delivers a monologue where not a single word makes sense and it was a glorious performance. So far loving the show. https://youtu.be/G7Do2tlYLhs?is=iMd7_XJK28NolD15
3
IndieCurtis Apr 15, 2026 +1
Patriot is my most favorite underrated show. It’s everything. Sometimes I rewatch the Bachelor Party episode on it’s own.

Jessica Walter is such a good pick, the way she delivers even the smallest lines as Lucille never gets old. For me, it’s probably Steve Carell in The Office. I’ve seen those episodes way too many times, but some of Michael Scott’s lines still catch me off guard somehow.
