I always like hearing this from people. Some movies stay for fun, but some hit different and change how you see life.
For me, one movie really made me think more about people, choices, and life in general. It was not just a movie for me, it felt like a real lesson. I still think about it sometimes (**The Pursuit of Happyness)**
What movie changed your perspective or stayed with you for a long time?
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. Changed the way I view love and regret.

Intelligent Lives directed by Dan Habib. It’s a documentary about people with intellectual disabilities who have historically been marginalized and sidelined due to society’s low expectations. The film shows what can happen when we treat everyone with dignity and provide opportunity. I saw it at a film festival and left the theater a better human.

I have two movie names The Shawshank Redemption & Interstellar
A movie that really stayed with me is The Shawshank Redemption. It completely changed how I think about hope and patience the idea that even in the worst situations, people can keep moving forward.
Another one is Interstellar, which made me think a lot about time, sacrifice, and how far someone would go for the people they love. Both films stuck with me long after watching them.

Sinners, I can’t explain it, but when the dance scene was happening during the eras. It felt like my body was transcending or something. I’ve never experienced that ever.

I watched this movie Red Joan a few weeks ago and still think about it - it made me realize that treason laws are actually kind of stupid and can end up punishing otherwise ethical behavior. I’ll never think of treason the same way.

Rocky. I saw it in the theater as a kid. It showed me that if I wanted to achieve something I would have to work at it, but I could do it. This lesson has come up many times in my life and I thank Rocky for that.

That’s a great discussion prompt. Those kinds of movies tend to stick way longer than just “entertaining” ones.

ROMA.
It helped me realize that there are people directly outside my circle who are suffering when I'm celebrating... and who are celebrating when I'm suffering. It showed the universal nature of life, which is that we all feel the same ups and downs, but we rarely sympathize with those around us... if we even notice them.
Fucked me up, honestly.
