Better Call Saul. I'm not sure how, but I just had a feeling he was going to get into the meth business.

HIMYM
I knew what was going to happen with the mother and to be fair I had no issues with that. They set it up, hinted at it, it gave the show a reason to exist, etc. My issue was with them basically retconning so much in the final episode and reverting characters back to who they were several years ago to fit an ending which didn't work anymore.

That's why the alternative ending is my headcannon for that show.

It still doesn't fix it for me. The mother and Ted living happily ever after doesn't make narrative sense for the story that had been told for 9 years and the damage is still done in the finale leading up to it

Agree it's less bad. I think they screwed Barney's character arc over.

It has been a long time since I watched it and didn't ever do a rewatch but my thing was always that despite telling the story of how he met the mother, so much of it revolved around Robin so it made sense that is who he was going to end up with.
Also with Barney, didn't he make those changes for Robin so when they were no longer together he would revert back to who he was without Robin.

She was openly psychotic in the very first season. Then she spent eight seasons burning people alive when they displeased her, and smiling while she did it
Somehow a lot of people watch that and it just went over their head because they liked Daenerys and didn't like the people she was murdering.
It was clear from the start

Holy c***, I've felt like I was taking crazy pills when it comes to this topic for the longest time. I'm so happy to see someone else have the same take I always had on Dany. She was never the "good guy". She was bloodthirsty and entitled from the get-go. What do people think she meant by "I will take what is mine. With fire and blood, I will take it". She said that in like season 2 and followed through wholeheartedly on it all the way to the end. She was ready to burn Meereen to the ground with everyone in it (including innocent people) until her council talked her down. In fact, her council was constantly having to plead restraint with her and talk her out of more rash actions.
People only think she was a good person because the majority of the people standing in her way in Essos were slavers, raiders, and entitled elites. As soon as she had to face off against enemies whose morals weren't so clear-cut evil, she didn't adjust her approach at all for them. She kept doing exactly what she had been doing all along, such as burning the Tarlys to death simply for not bowing down to her. Dany wasn't trying to break the wheel at all. Just take control of it like everyone else and the fact hardly anyone sees that and acts like her heel turn came out of nowhere kills me.

They even spoon fed the foreshadowing so the viewer would know to pay attention.
> When a Targaryen is born, the gods flip a coin
If that wasn't a hint to pay attention, i don't know what would be

Oh yeah, well I predicted that the Night King, on the cusp of total victory, was gunna get one-tapped by Arya leaping from the shadows of a wide open field after sneaking up on the Night King because he didn't take any body guards into the center of a warzone because he wanted to personally kill a nearly comatose crippled boy who had used his warg-ing and seer powers to do absolutely nothing at all to hinder the Night King up to this point, and thus immediately ending the entire undead army that was the overarching threat of the series that fans had been waiting to see resolved since the first book dropped in 1996.
Saw it coming a mile away.

That’s not really the main twist of that season. The unexpected tonal shift in the final episode shifts the show in a completely different direction, which continues to happen in each subsequent season, for better or worse.

Closest I've gotten was when the black woman in Space Force was stressing about what one-liner she'll say when she lands on the moon and decided on "It's good to be back on the moon". As soon as she decided that, I predicted she'd mess it up and say "It's good to be black on the moon". Most obvious punch line of all time imo

Okay, not an ending, but a character reaction. In season 7 of '24', Jack finds out that a certain character, who had seemingly died in his arms years ago, was not only alive but behind a terrorist attack. As he sits there, stunned, I call it. "He's going to say 'that's not possible'".
Nail, meet head.

1
ButterscotchPast4812Apr 14, 2026
That the last scene would either be the party playing dnd, Christmas, or that they'd graduate. I thought they'd mirror the ending of the first season and they did. Plus how much they talked about season 1/2 being so important to the final season.
I figured they'd graduate because it's a coming of age story and that seems like a natural place for the story to end. And that Joyce and Hopper would get engaged at their Enzo's date. The duffers had been merging the byers and Hoppers into a singular family for years.
