Which streaming services are you subscribed to?

Posted by chrishouse83

I'm always interested to hear where everyone watches their movies. I'm more of a "decide what to watch, then figure out how to watch it" type person. Currently the only streaming services I pay for is Shudder. I've considered cancelling it but I find myself enjoying perusing it and putting on something random. So which services are you subscribed to? And how often do you use each one?

Right now just Netflix but that’s about to end soon, all these increasing prices are just getting a little ridiculous now. But a free one I’ve been using lately is Tubi and I’ve been loving it so far

Yeah Tubi is great, especially for horror.

Kanopy is amazing and not enough people know about it. Totally free. No ads. Great selection. Just need a public library card.

Just YouTube. Premium is entirely worth it, and the stuff people put out on their own is better than what is being produced.

Dropout TV and Apple TV are the only one I subscribe to. Dropout because it’s worth the 7 hot ones a month, and Apple because it’s part of my Apple One thing. I don’t pirate movies or anything but instead just accepted that I need to either pay to rent a movie, see it in theaters, or wait until I visit family and see it on whatever they have. Also, rediscovering how awesome the local library system is has been nice. They seem to get movies almost the same week they come to physical media.

Currently Crave (Canada). I rotate each month.

Disney and HBO. Once my watchlist for HBO is over, I’ll cancel that and pay for a different one where my shows live. Never paying for more than two ever. Watching the entirety of Star Wars chronologically with my son on Disney.

Criterion is the only one I'm routinely subscribed to, but currently in rotation is Hulu, NightFlight and Nebula

Shudder is fun for their original content.

We had more or less all of them. But building a physical media collection and slowly cancelling. A bit optimistic but it’s a lot of fun

Netflix, HBO and Crunchyroll. The return value is the best in case of CR and maybe N. HBO has some unique stuff that I'm interested in or more like I was interested in. I'm currently thinking of cancelling it.

I don't subscribe to any. I primarily thrift things on DVD, or borrow from the local rental store. If I can't get something that way, I find it for free online one way or another.

same here, theres something about browsing physical media that streaming cant replicate. my local library actually has a decent dvd collection too, way better selection than most people realize

I prefer it as well! It would seem the other folks on this thread are not a fan of my ways though haha I would just rather support local businesses. I'm really lucky and work right beside a huge DVD rental place set up in an old theater! The selection is astonishing, and the owner is super great at giving recommendations!

Currently, only Netflix. I was subbed to Disney+ and Paramount+, but when they ran out I didn't bother resubbing. I am, however, using my dad's Prime Video and my cousin's Crave.

Currently I am subscribed to: Crave Criterion Channel Disney+ Hollywood Suite Mubi Netflix Paramount+ Prime Criterion Channel is the best. I use Netflix and Prime fairly regularly, Disney sometimes, and the others I use less frequently, depending on what is on them and when they add something new I am interested in. I'm likely going to cancel a few of them sometime this year.
