Uh, did she *want* it to be public knowledge?

buffystakeded Mar 16, 2026 +419
He also talked about some Florida reps heart disease and diagnosis today.

PortugalPilgrim88 Mar 16, 2026 +340
He said he’d be dead by June and Mike Johnson looked like he was gonna crawl out of his skin and said “that wasn’t public”.

gunsjustsuck Mar 16, 2026 +125
I think that's one of his 'endearing' qualities for MAGA. They feel he treats them like they're part of the in-crowd. He let's them in on the decision making and the secrets.
125
wfbhp Mar 17, 2026 +15
They probably do see it that way, despite the fact that the reality is that he has no idea where he is, who he's talking to, or even what year it is.
15
Tje199 Mar 17, 2026 +69
I don't like these guys but his "that wasn't public but ok" response was hella relatable as someone who sits in meetings with execs and salespeople all the time. Sales: claims something untrue Me: well, that's not how that works, but ok. Or Exec: our technology works like this which is why we need to do that. Me: not even a little bit, but ok. Just that moment of someone else putting their foot in their mouth and you knowing you're along for the ride now.

fvlgvrator666 Mar 16, 2026 +21
Doesn't he crawl out of his skin every night to enter the rejuvenation cocoon?
21
randynumbergenerator Mar 17, 2026 +3
IDK, I'd say ask his son but he's probably too busy monitoring dad's pron habits.

Particular-County277 Mar 16, 2026 +84
He is going to be less and less reliable to stfu. He is going to get people in trouble with the secrets he can no longer keep. I imagine many in the Epstein files, must be absolutely panicking. Imagine him knowing one of your secrets..

Roy-Southman Mar 17, 2026 +20
He just can’t shut the f up. At least his slips of the tongue let us know that Musk did something to the voting machines, that he definitely did stuff to underage girls, that he doesn’t intend to let voting be fair anymore, and that he is a moron who doesn’t know what he is doing. The crazy part is that millions still vote for him. Hopefully republicans will realize they love c**** gas and groceries more than they hate immigrants and lgbtq+ people come next midterms, though I’m not crazy enough to delude myself those people will ever see reason.

Only time he’s smiled and laughed recently as well, he’s a sick disgusting piece of shit.

BeastInDarkness Mar 16, 2026 +1916
If she didn't, she sure as hell won't say anything publicly against Trump for revealing it. No one in this admin has the spine to stand up to Trump.
1916
lostredditorlurking Mar 16, 2026 +552
>No one in this admin has the spine to stand up to Trump. Trump forces them to wear a bunch of oversized shoes, and like a good servant they are, no one dares to speak up and all wear those comical oversized shoes lol
552
DeanXeL Mar 16, 2026 +190
There is no reason for them to wear *over-sized* shoes. That's just to show how stupid his cabinet is: any one of them, upon receiving the shoes, could've just placed a second order with the right size! Trump wouldn't know, he just sees the ugly shoe that he wants them to wear, he wouldn't know what size it is!
190
fleemfleemfleemfleem Mar 16, 2026 +105
> ugly shoe I don't think the florsheims are neccessarily ugly on their own, but it is a brand that's taken a dip in quality since their height. You'd normally expect someone in Rubio's job to wear something really nice. Like goodyear welted Allen Edmonds or something. Those shoes cost $450. Florsheim used to be made to that level of quality but about 20 years ago they stared using cheaper materials, cheaper production techniques (like cemented soles) etc. They cost like $125 a pair, but are probably $50 shoes at heart. Really costing on name recognition. So the whole thing is multiple levels of out of touch: Trump hasn't updated his impression of the brand since 2000. He just kind of guessed as sizes. His sycophants would rather wear comically oversized poorly made shoes that something that fits and is comfortable. Madness

Homesick_Martian Mar 16, 2026 +38
Nail on the head. Bought a pair for a wedding I was a groomsmen in at Nordstrom rack a few years ago, spent $40 on them. They’re fine, I keep them in my office at work as a back up pair of shoes.
38
fleebleganger Mar 16, 2026 +15
What happens that causes the need for a backup pair of shoes?

New England here. If I walk to work in my snow boots, it's good to have a pair at the office so I don't have to pack them for the commute.
23
Homesick_Martian Mar 17, 2026 +9
Hey! I’m in Colorado and this is exactly why have them. I wear my bluestones to work and if I need to have a meeting with a client, I’ll pop on some dress shoes. Otherwise, I’m wearing comfy shoes

You dont have piss shoes?
8
BasketballButt Mar 16, 2026 +8
About twenty years ago I found a couple of barely worn vintage Florsheim ankle boots at a local second hand store. Once properly broken in there were far and away my favorite shoes ever. Bought a  new pair a couple years (same model and everything), couldn’t believe how far they’d fallen. Not even close to the same quality.
8
UnintelligibleMaker Mar 16, 2026 +3
Or their lie about their show size and got the size they say they are…..
3
przemo_li Mar 16, 2026 +29
You assume Trump does not humiliate with those gifts. What is the really does it consciously and on purpose?
29
Old-Suspect4129 Mar 16, 2026 +9
I wish he were smart enough to be so subtle.
9
ZachMN Mar 16, 2026 +3
Proprly-fitting clothing is alien to him. He would easily spot someone wearing the proper size shoes and know they had betrayed him.
3
inquisitive_guy_0_1 Mar 16, 2026 +73
Fitting. Clown shoes for a clown-shoes administration.
73
proteannomore Mar 16, 2026 +8
Quick, someone go to the White House and tell Trump you’ve created a magical suit of clothes that only wise and intelligent people can see, but to a fool are completely invisible!
8
freedfg Mar 16, 2026 +29
That shit is so comical. Like. How obvious of a sign do people need. North Korea is more subtle.
29
atieka Mar 17, 2026 +9
I keep seeing people say that the Republican party isn’t MAGA, trying to imply distance between the two groups. I want that to be true, but the GOP consistently voting with him and asking “how high?” when the dipshit says jump tells me they’re one in the same.
9
ChickenNPisza Mar 16, 2026 +24
She is actually the only one that stands up to Trump, and he listens to her it seems. Weird mom/son paradigm
24
Chrisj1616 Mar 16, 2026 +11
Yes, Suzie is the only professional republican in this administration
11
ZachMN Mar 16, 2026 +18
If she was a professional, she would refuse to work in a corrupt, cruel administration.
18

She's a professional Republican, though. Like with a professional hitman you can't expect normal morality.
8

I think that’s an oxymoron. Or just moron. There is no “Republican Party”, there’s only the party of Shitler.

Both these fascists suck but she’s actually the one famous for disagreeing with trump and being the only woman he respects
24

She's his Chief of Staff. She doesn't disagree in a meaningful way, because she's carrying out his wishes.

He was calling on everyone in his administration who took Ozempic in a press conference
108
Ohuigin Mar 16, 2026 +165
LMAO! You think Trump gives a flying f*** what any woman wants? Including those that are under 18? If you can grab a woman by the p**** because you're a star, surely you can disclose their cancer diagnoses as well. What's the big deal?

It probably s**** into a position he’s used to. As an old style Executive, Trump is VERY used to relying heavily on an office administrator (used to be “Secretary”) to keep things running for him.
35
rockmasterflex Mar 16, 2026 +38
Yeah big yikes on this

Why should she expect respect and decency from the White House?
17

Maybe she shouldn't work for someone like Trump if she wants anything to stay private. No sympathy.

Why is he announcing someone else's cancer diagnosis?

PrimalZed Mar 16, 2026 +291
Trump revealing other peoples' medical difficulties has become a trend. He seems to take pleasure the reveal. Trump revealing some woman in attendance of his presser is getting eye surgery he paid for: https://bsky.app/profile/atrupar.com/post/3mfjzgx5fai23 Trump eggs on Mike Johnson to talk about a congressperson's terminal diagnosis, and smirks when he announces the predicted date of death: https://bsky.app/profile/phillewis.bsky.social/post/3mh6xmtykes2y

The problem is that I wouldn't blame the youth from taking away the message that they can be horrible and fail upwards as long as they hate the right people
27
nooby_goober Mar 17, 2026 +4
He's regressing to the mentality of a shithead spoiled tween that hurts animals. He's sure a psychopath and contrary to popular belief, they're often mentally impaired.
4
ZachMN Mar 16, 2026 +7
Which is why he’s such a perfect personification of the Republican Party.
7
K3VINbo Mar 16, 2026 +19
Considering that most of what he says and does is projection, that could mean this is a topic that’s on his mind and affects him currently. But he would never announce such an illness to not appear weak, that’s how he have come of the idea that it can be used to make other people appear weak. Such is the mind of the orange lump
19
wh4tth3huh Mar 16, 2026 +24
Probably because he knows he's f****** terminal as well. I'll put $30 bucks on congestive heart failure doing him in by May. Is this what Kalshi is for?

Because she is a woman he believes he controls
779
spazzxxcc12 Mar 16, 2026 +285
she is a woman he controls, no belief about it. she knew that when she took the job. it’s kinda the morons that run this cults whole thing. she knows she’s less of a person under him, but she’s more of a person than other women.
285
margmi Mar 16, 2026 +30
It actually sounds like she controls him, if you read her vanity fair article. She seems to be the only person who can make him do anything.
30
Spiritual_Corner_977 Mar 16, 2026 +69
It’s more enabling than outright controlling. She learned how to do it because her dad was a drunk(her words, not mine). I think that’s an insane dynamic to have in the white house, but what do I know.
69
Particular-County277 Mar 16, 2026 +14
Did she not say he has an alcoholic's personality even though he does not drink alcohol?
14
PunfullyObvious Mar 16, 2026 +22
I do think she's an interesting case. I believe he believes he controls her like he should be in control of any woman. But, I think she's actually more in control of him than he'd admit. And, I think she's there to represent, protect, and foster the interests of very powerful others who actually control, direct, and manipulate Trump.
22
OlderThanMyParents Mar 16, 2026 +5
it wouldn't surprise me to learn that he thinks the fact that it's breast cancer makes it s***, somehow. "I get to talk about women's breasts - is this a great job, or what?"

I failing to understand how a staff member having cancer is supposed to encourage sympathy for Trump himself. Maybe deep down he knows a similar announcement for himself would be considered cause for celebration.

Only after he did. "President Donald Trump first announced Wiles' diagnosis in a Truth Social post, saying that she would begin treatment immediately and would remain in her role."
10
Excusemytootie Mar 16, 2026 +4
Ha! That’s a good one. Wait until she gets put on hormone suppression, I speak from personal experience when I say this. She will be out of her role within 6 months. I would bet on it. (Edit: btw, I just want to say that I take no joy in this woman’s illness, as a breast cancer survivor, i dont want any woman to get breast cancer, no matter how evil they are).

She has early-stage breast cancer. She'll be fine. That said, I'm not sure she's telling the truth. It's an easy way for her to step down. She knows the ship is sinking.
225
Helenium_autumnale Mar 16, 2026 +30
She's been one of his most stalwart supporters and is in the innermost circle next to Trump. If she wants off, what could have been the deciding factor or bridge too far for her? I would really like to know. Perhaps it's something the public doesn't know about.
30
k_realtor Mar 16, 2026 +6
I don't know who she is but something I don't trust about her and one that has to smile upside down or try to sue the Associated Press because they're not going to change history because Trump wants to name parts of the world "Gulf of America" because he's bored.
6

This might not be the most "morally correct" opinion but it's also the first place my mind went. This woman is enjoying the havoc, chaos, and death that the Trump admin is wreaking on the American people and the world at large; I have an extremely hard time feeling bad for her.
67
SpicyPandaMeat Mar 16, 2026 +34
And unlike many, she's gonna get her cancer treated and won't go into debt.

Yup. She'll get the best doctors and treatment that US taxpayer money can buy.
14
Dragrunarm Mar 16, 2026 +7
And thats *another* reason I dont have any strong feelings about her diagnosis. She'll be fine unlike the rest of us who would have to struggle with it. She doesnt ~~deserve~~ need my concern.

Susie Wiles is in some ways worse that diehard MAGA. She is just a professional political operative. She knows all the bad shit Trump does, she doesn’t believe in it, its just a job to her. Hell, if it wasn’t for a falling out with Desantis, she probably would be long retired. Trump won’t put her in the public because she doesn’t have “the look” but he can’t do all the behind the scenes stuff she handles so he keeps her on but only as long as she is useful to him. Watch, the second she wants to take time off for treatment, the badmouthing her will start.

Man is out there leaking all kinds of health shit on other people…. The tacky gall of this dude. This is the second person he’s revealed personal health info on today in front of an audience and cameras. Absolute trashy behavior from a classless , rapist, creep.

islandsimian Mar 16, 2026 +27
May she receive the care she wishes all Americans have
27
iampatmanbeyond Mar 16, 2026 +5
Is his dementia just outing everyone's private health problems today
5
NotNamedBort Mar 16, 2026 +4
Seriously, WTF is going on? He’s just gleefully announcing that people are dying around him. He loves it.
4
iampatmanbeyond Mar 16, 2026 +3
He's a massive narcissist and him dying alone was the worst thing to happen to him ever
3
ebrotto Mar 16, 2026 +5
What a shame. Let’s go golfing 🏌🏼
5
Sad-Economist4710 Mar 16, 2026 +9
A wholistic diet will fix this cancer
9
captsmokeywork Mar 16, 2026 +9
She should inject bleach.
9
Syltraul Mar 16, 2026 +3
Weirdly this isn’t the only person who had a diagnosis announced today by him
3
RookFett Mar 16, 2026 +3
I’m sure rfk will tell her to roll around in the Potomac to cure it. Sucks, lost my mom to breast cancer
3
nhavar Mar 16, 2026 +4
Trump cannot keep any secret. He will eventually tell on himself and everyone around him given enough screen time.
4
bcrosby51 Mar 16, 2026 +3
I assume he also announced this to the world at the press conference?
3
witchspoon Mar 16, 2026 +3
Well, at least SHE has good health insurance.
3
Phyukredd_tit_gydlin Mar 16, 2026 +4
Should I feel bad, because I don't
4
CrosseyedDixieChick Mar 16, 2026 +4
Oh no!!! Anyone notice the new toilet seat I installed in my basement?
4
IamOmegon Mar 16, 2026 +5
So treat it with some essential oils and an ice plunge in blue jeans?
5
WorryNew3661 Mar 16, 2026 +3
Is he just dropping everyone's medical shit right now?
3
2020surrealworld Mar 17, 2026 +3
I don’t wish ill on anyone, but I remember the big wellspring of kindness and sympathy DT and his staff expressed after news of John McCain, Tatiana Kennedy Schlossberg, Jaimie Raskin, Gerry Connolly, and Joe Biden illnesses.
3
ERedfieldh Mar 17, 2026 +4
Throw a HIPPA violation on top, why don't you. Yes, I know that only applies to doctors...though I'm fairly certain there's laws against your employer divulging information you don't want them to as well.
4
gnapster Mar 17, 2026 +4
May she have the same quality health care as average Americans everywhere.
4
manwhothinks Mar 17, 2026 +3
I would never wish anybody cancer but….
3
geekraver Mar 17, 2026 +3
Better get RFK Jr on it right away
3
FrankieFiveAngels Mar 17, 2026 +4
“Her t*** are rotting off,” the President said.

4
ratherenjoysbass Mar 16, 2026 +15
Wow...anyways what's y'all's opinion on mayonnaise?
15
herecomestherebuttal Mar 16, 2026 +3
I’m so glad Duke’s reign of terror is mostly over. Hellman’s 4 lyfe.
3
Disastrous-Special30 Mar 16, 2026 +24
Thats horrible. I hope the cancer will be ok.

Nervous-Coffee-1117 Mar 16, 2026 +7
Trump: The destroyer of HIPAA. So much for privacy. But then, it is MAGA, so IDGAF.
7
joshua_addison_music Mar 16, 2026 +7
No empathy for anyone who remained silent during this 💩 show
7
ew73 Mar 16, 2026 +10
I wish her a speedy and healthy recovery so she can rot in jail along with the rest of these traitorous fucksticks.
10
Bentulrich3 Mar 16, 2026 +6
This is not the medical update i was waiting for.
6
Corporate-Scum Mar 16, 2026 +19
Cancer on the outside. Cancer on the inside.
19
firejonas2002 Mar 16, 2026 +9
Too bad he cut funds for cancer research. Oh well. 🤷‍♂️
9
SteelBox5 Mar 16, 2026 +3
Did he snipe after the announcement?
3
PineBNorth85 Mar 16, 2026 +3
Meh. Not often my reaction to someone getting cancer is Meh. This is one of those times.
3
kingtacticool Mar 16, 2026 +3
Huh, I thought these people were all about unregulated infinite growth....
3
EggyTugboat Mar 16, 2026 +3
Hope she gets as much sympathy and care as she deserves
3
veryboredatwork Mar 16, 2026 +3
She’s found an off ramp to this madness
3
The-Spirit-of-76 Mar 16, 2026 +3
Good for her. First time I felt sorry for the cancer.
3
AusTex2019 Mar 16, 2026 +3
A cancer for a cancer, if I am supposed to feel sympathy I did not get the memo…
3
AlanShore60607 Mar 16, 2026 +3
He also mentioned today that a congressional Republican will be “dead by June”, so he’s basically a walking HIPPA violation
3
Niadh74 Mar 16, 2026 +3
Any bets Trump spins this into sympathy for him. 'I am losing my female chief of staff ooh woe is me' Anyway. Susie. I hope you outlast this administration
3
tyderian Mar 17, 2026 +3
May she receive the healthcare she voted for.
3
MyAccountWasBanned7 Mar 17, 2026 +3
I hope her medical treatment is on par for everyone else in the country!
3
liamanna Mar 17, 2026 +3
Her boss literally killed cancer research funding
3
Old-n-Wrinkly Mar 17, 2026 +3
Why announce it and hide every disease you have, tubby? Cannot imagine being in his orbit.
3
Out_of_Fawkes Mar 17, 2026 +3
I hope she gets justice for the huge HIPAA violation. It would be one thing if it were disclosed publicly, but damn. That’s wild.
3
DoesThisSmellWeird2U Mar 17, 2026 +3
Wow. Too bad the funding for research on promising mRNA-based therapies has been cut.
3
Tinosdoggydaddy Mar 17, 2026 +3
Is it bad or good when a Nazi gets cancer?
3
iamtehryan Mar 17, 2026 +3
Cancer sucks ass, but it couldn't happen to better people. Maybe don't be some of the most hateful pricks around and you'll get some sympathy. It sure is some shit that the specific one that everyone wants to get something like this and die just can't seem to catch anything.
3
Kjaeve Mar 17, 2026 +3
Interesting that this is announced moments after she sat next to him disclosing someone else’s medical troubles
3
ajn63 Mar 17, 2026 +3
The overlords will replace her with someone just as despicable.
3
Illustrious-Kiwi8670 Mar 17, 2026 +3
I genuinely wish her a complete recovery. at the same time I have to wonder how being around Trump and seeing how unstable he is, yet still promoting him, affects one's general health.
3
Android_onca Mar 16, 2026 +20
Didn’t know cancer could get cancer
20
Lorward185 Mar 17, 2026 +5
Oh no! Not the lady that's basically his P.A./Nanny! F*** her, she's a horrible person. There is no one closer to Trump than her, not even his own wife. She's the one who enables him to act like a deranged toddler. Hope she has fun burning in hell.
5
Dankpro79 Mar 17, 2026 +4
I don’t care about all these people. It’s about time f****** horrible hateful people get their well deserved.
4
greenmachine11235 Mar 16, 2026 +9
As a cancer survivor, I find it EXTREMELY hard to feel ANY sympathy for a woman who enabled millions of Americans to lose their health insurance and access to life saving cancer screenings and treatments.
9
igetproteinfartsHELP Mar 16, 2026 +7
I hope she lives long enough till this regime falls and there’s Nuremberg trials for everyone complicit with this admin and she is put on the stand.
7
drew_p_wevos Mar 16, 2026 +4
Sometimes bad things happen to bad people.
4
michoudi Mar 16, 2026 +6

Why would they make this public? They don't believe in science or medical coverage for the rest of us. Is it for pity?
2
Gronkattack Mar 16, 2026 +2
Isn't this a violation if she didn't give permission for him to do this? It may not be illegal, but it's still a terrible thing to do.
2
gnobile Mar 16, 2026 +2
Let Trump touch them. They will disappear right away.
2
AllMightyLantern Mar 16, 2026 +2
How about Trump tell us his Health diagnosis?
2
SnuffleWarrior Mar 16, 2026 +2
Hope it's somehow contagious and infects Drump
2
Financial_Process_11 Mar 16, 2026 +2
I hope she had time to tell her family and friends before Trump made it public knowledge
2
Justsitstilldammit Mar 16, 2026 +2
