funny since that's not how elections work

Trump doesn't know how anything works so this tracks.

eastbay77 Mar 31, 2026 +849
There's a clip out there where Trump says, "Nobody knows more about (insert any topic) than me". He knows absolutely nothing about everything.

A jack of no trades is a master of nothing, is better than trump, a jackass at everything

evisioning sinatra singing the trump song to the tune of that's life, ...I've been a jackass, a rapist, a thief, a liar, a scoundrel, and a traitor. I've been up and down and over and out, and I know one thing Each time I find myself flat on my face I pick myself up and get back in the race

AnonEMoussie Mar 31, 2026 +61
After he says that it’s usually followed up by “No one knew how difficult healthcare was. “ or “I’ll end the Ukraine war on day one.” Followed by “look at me driving a fire truck! Whooo hoo!”
61
slipnipper Mar 31, 2026 +30
As someone that drives a firetruck for a living, it’s not as easy as it looks. This dipshit sat in the the front seat like a 6 year old and took a picture.
30
Then_I_had_a_thought Mar 31, 2026 +22
Not true… the minute he says he *doesn’t* know anything about something (Epstein, Stormy, etc.), then *you can be sure* he knows all about it.
22
Shopworn_Soul Mar 31, 2026 +14
You have to remember that whenever Trump says "anyone" or "everyone" or "no one" he is always referring to himself. So, if he just learned something five minutes ago, he simply assumes no one else has ever known that thing (including the person he just learned it from) and therefore he is now the foremost expert on the subject.
14
MentalDisintegrat1on Mar 31, 2026 +26
He said nobody knows those voting machines more than musk. He most likely rigged some votes all the swing states went red. Musk is coming back and he will try the same fuckery again.
26
flangler Apr 1, 2026 +11
Reminder that Dominion voting machine company was bought by a Trump-loving fascist ball licker. It’s now part of…wait for it…”Liberty Voting.” These machines were used in 27 states in 2024. You think they’re not gonna f*** with our votes in the midterms? Or 2028?
11
Catspaw129 Mar 31, 2026 +29
I, for one, would like to see him attempt to drive an English car on English roads..
29
CraigonReddit Mar 31, 2026 +27
In all honesty, I bet he can't drive a car. He has been in limos for all his adult life. I really bet he could not drive a car around a simple road in or out of traffic, and for sure, a manual transmission would be impossible for him.
27
plsnobanme6969 Mar 31, 2026 +17
Bold of you to assume he knows how to drive.
17
Desperate-Till-9228 Mar 31, 2026 +32
So you're saying I could write my own executive order to ligma?
32
RedBarnGuy Mar 31, 2026 +468
I am not a constitutional lawyer, but this seemed to be pretty clearly stated in Article 1, section 4: "The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof..." ... but with *this* Supreme Court? Who knows.
468
JournalistRecent1230 Mar 31, 2026 +247
Yeah, the federal government doesn't conduct elections. States do. So a Federal E.O. is completely illegal and meaningless.
247
vriska1 Mar 31, 2026 +62
Everyone needs to vote no matter what!
62
lancelongstiff Apr 1, 2026 +36
If MAGAs want to sit this one out I'm ok with that though.
36
EclecticEuTECHtic Mar 31, 2026 +36
And yet the USPS is the primary way of conveying mail in ballots so the feds could f*** with this until a court tells them to stop.
36
jpric155 Apr 1, 2026 +11
Or UPS and FedEx are going to get an uptick in business.
11
whereismymind86 Apr 1, 2026 +15
Not really no, states have drop boxes at basically all public buildings (libraries, schools, police stations, fire departments, city hall etc). It’s very easy to sidestep usps with mail in ballots if necessary
15
exmachina64 Apr 1, 2026 +5
Not every state.
5
ttoma93 Apr 1, 2026 +13
A quick correction here. That clause actually continues this way: > The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; ***but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations***, except as to the Places of chusing Senators. The federal government actually can alter election laws and force states to comply, it’s one of the very few areas of law where the constitution very explicitly says that the power defaults to the states but Congress can override if they’d like. But this isn’t that. Trump isn’t Congress and doesn’t get to unilaterally declare new laws. But if Congress passed a bill more or less in line with what Trump signed, that actually would be legal.
13
Brynmaer Mar 31, 2026 +9
Unfortunately not meaningless. Red States will claim they are "just following orders" and put so many limitations on voting that the state itself will still have Republican Senators since those are state level votes but it will limit house member votes which could have the effect of further reducing the 1-3 democratic house members from each of those states
9
tangerinelion Mar 31, 2026 +32
It's clearly meaningless, in the same way that an executive order instructing states to morph into ham sandwiches is meaningless. Not sure that makes it illegal.
32
SomeDumbPenguin Apr 1, 2026 +16
Election interference is illegal, so there's that
16
Indercarnive Mar 31, 2026 +104
All he needs is to give a pretense for the USPS to "lose" the votes from blue areas.
104
salme3105 Mar 31, 2026 +89
We’re entirely vote by mail here in WA, and fortunately we have drop boxes so no need to risk anything with the post office. Of course, in our radical leftist state we actually *want* people to vote.
89
Original_betch Mar 31, 2026 +37
Same here in Colorado. It comes on the mail but my household always drops it back off in the drop box nearby. I'm not trusting USPS with the return.
37
Crismus Mar 31, 2026 +17
In Colorado Springs and have never mailed the ballot back. The USPS is no longer trusted because of DeJoy.
17
Megaclone18 Mar 31, 2026 +22
Honestly with how much both his admins have gutted USPS I wouldnt even trust it in the deepest red state. My mail is always delayed or missing now.
22
gdex86 Mar 31, 2026 +70
Its a work around. The federal government doesn't control the administration of elections but mail voting has to go through a federal apparatus is the USPS. Trump is ordering the post office not deliver mail in ballots to any persons who dont appear on approved list complied by DHS. This means that if they engage in curation of the approved list they can ensure the people they don't want can't vote. Even then they can skew things by saying it took so long to process the whole batch to "get it right" that by the time they arrive its limiting how many will get back in time. The especially scary thing is tgat there are two court cases that would aid Trumps plan here. First is the one earlier in the year that citizens have no legal recourse to the USPS intentionally refusing to send or deliver their mail. Second is the up coming ruling on if ballots post marked ahead of election day have to be counted if arriving late that is expected to go the way of "No they dont."
70
Count_Bacon Apr 1, 2026 +27
So pathetic that this actually may happen and isn't grounds for treason immediately
27
legitimate_business Apr 1, 2026 +6
Not just that, IMHO the "real" strategy is to set up a data set and then claim that the election results appear "problematic" when compared to the data in an effort to annul results they don't like.
6
SuspiciousNewAccount Mar 31, 2026 +79
It is if the states comply.
79
XSinTrick6666 Mar 31, 2026 +57
states that want to hand over their voter rolls to trump have already started to … 10 so far. if they further trust USPS to send out their mail-in ballots, heaven help ‘em … might as well start the lawsuits and contested election sham right now...
57
Beneficial-Ferret479 Mar 31, 2026 +53
This one will face dozens of lawsuits, my state of WA has been using mail in for many, many years. And his fraud c*** wont fly. This clown mailed in his own ballot! I think if it goes to SCOTUS, he will lose.
53
stoolsample2 Mar 31, 2026 +21
Trump: I mailed my vote in but you cannot. What kind of bullshit is that? F****** idiot.
21
broguequery Apr 1, 2026 +5
If it goes to court, it will be too late to matter. They will have won by the time there is a determination, and nobody is going to go to war to enforce a ruling either way.
5
aerost0rm Mar 31, 2026 +9
SCOTUS has indicated it will rule in his favor according to articles I have read. Something about the president throwing a fit about mail in voting
9
narenard Mar 31, 2026 +34
Washington and Oregon are already chomping at the bit to file suits, our voting is nearly entirely mail based. There's only 18 physical voting centers for the entire state of WA plus 109 drop boxes for those who do not mail it back in time. These locations are mainly to register new voters, update records, and help people who need assistance. They are not for regular every person voting.
34
Maxfunky Mar 31, 2026 +43
He's doing an end-run around the states. The executive order bans the post office from delivering the ballots to be counted unless the name on the ballot matches a pre-approved list.
43
Nezrite Mar 31, 2026 +29
I can't imagine what criterion might be applied to narrow that list...
29
spacemusclehampster Mar 31, 2026 +13
The family guy color scale is what I think they’ll use
13
Desperate-Till-9228 Mar 31, 2026 +17
Put 'em in a different envelope. Done. Now you have to deny service to a certain active address which is... yet another violation of the law.
17
broguequery Apr 1, 2026 +7
At that point, every single person should do their absolute damndest to show up in person. Playing games trying to work around mail in voting is a losing game.
7
WCland Mar 31, 2026 +15
That presents a huge host of problems in itself. How does USPS know if a piece of mail is a ballot? USPS is required to deliver mail it receives unless it is contraband. States can sue to make USPS deliver the mail.
15
EclecticEuTECHtic Mar 31, 2026 +8
I mean, they are generally marked in big letters with OFFICIAL ELECTION MAIL. Previous administrations would use that to speed up return of VBM ballots.
8

Not gonna happen. Lawyers lining up now. This is revenge for the ballroom, etc…
38

Revenge for the ballroom? You think they just thought of this now? They were always going to interfere and cheat in this election.

MourningRIF Mar 31, 2026 +42
Excuse to seize ballots. We need to guard our ballot boxes this year. I hope we can organize protection for our ballot boxes so votes can be counted before they are seized by the feds/military/ICE.
42
donnerpartytaconight Mar 31, 2026 +10

TurtlesBreakTheMeta Mar 31, 2026 +15
Unless stopped by state officials, it CAN be how it works, just like every other illegal action he’s taken: he knows republican controlled states will rubber stamp any orders from Trump, and that still puts his finger on the scale.

1438
Brilliant-Advisor958 Mar 31, 2026 +894
The red states will blindly follow and the blue state wont. This will lead to trump refusing funding for the blue states for anything he feels like because they refuse to follow.
894
Soliden Mar 31, 2026 +485
Sounds like blue states need to stop sending tax money to Washington then.
485
Brilliant-Advisor958 Mar 31, 2026 +160
Federal Payroll taxes are remitted right to the federal government by employers.
160
BigHungryFlamingo Mar 31, 2026 +213
Currently, yeah. Some states have floated the idea of collecting those tax dollars into a fund and keeping them there until we have a legitimate president again.  Will it happen? Doubtful. But hopefully it won’t have to happen anyway.
213
BadgeOfDishonour Mar 31, 2026 +63
Unfortunately that structure only works with good-faith actors. If the States acted as a Federal Tax Buffer, every time a Red State had a hissy fit, they'd block payment to a Democratic run House or President. And I've never met a politician that can stare at a pot of money, and not immediately spend it. Even if it is only there briefly.
63
Sweary_Biochemist Mar 31, 2026 +101
Reds contributes less than blues. Can lose texas if you don't have to support mississipi, kentucky etc. F*** em: if they don't pay into dem administration, they don't get federal support. If red governments don't give federal support to states, they don't get tax revenue. Blue subsidises red. If there was a will to weaponise this, it would be a hell of a weapon.
101
Zoethor2 Mar 31, 2026 +34
Not that I disagree with you particularly, but at that point, we're effectively in a bloodless civil war. Lately I've been thinking that might be the only way this ends less-than-horribly, though. Red states can f*** off together and succumb to their terribleness and blue states can fight about our favorite nonsense liberal issues like housing density.
34
SoCalChrisW Mar 31, 2026 +43
> but at that point, we're effectively in a bloodless civil war. We're already there.
43
Mustardo123 Apr 1, 2026 +20
I used to be sad for a future without all 50 states, but more recently it’s become clear that there is very little point to popping up what are essentially mini third world countries filled with people who hate me.

> *bloodless* civil war That's news to Alex Pretti.
12
Zeplar Mar 31, 2026 +50
There's only like 2 red states that are net contributors. Seems like a reasonable tradeoff to me. [The only one that is particularly relevant is Texas](https://usafacts.org/articles/which-states-contribute-the-most-and-least-to-federal-revenue/). But Texas is net $70B and the US tax revenue is $5T. A properly run government is worth considerably more than 1.5% of tax revenue.
50
Frowny575 Mar 31, 2026 +10
Would love this, but we currently don't have a mechanism as the states never see our federal taxes.
10
Simmery Mar 31, 2026 +120
It'll be worse than that. They will try to declare blue state elections invalid and prevent Democrats from being seated in Congress.
120
pohart Mar 31, 2026 +53
This is the plan. it doesn't need to have an actual effect on the election.
53
XSinTrick6666 Mar 31, 2026 +8
trump controls usps. what he wants is for mailins to lead to contested election results — guess how SCOTUS will rule on that? remember hanging chad …?
8
zombiekoalas Mar 31, 2026 +89
If you read the article, it states its a directive for delivery of mail in ballots by the usps.  Directing them to not deliver unless the recipient is listed in their database.
89

36
DistractedPhoenix Mar 31, 2026 +66
It’s easy: 1. Blue states ignore it, allow mail in voting. 2. Trump declares blue state results invalid. 3. Throw it to the courts where the Supreme Court will rule in his favor 4. King Trump reigns as supreme leader
66
Urabask Mar 31, 2026 +38
The most stupid part of all this is that we have had decades of them saying that they can't change districts because it's too close to an election. Now months before midterms they'll be ruling on upending how a majority of the electorate votes and it won't be a problem.
38
bigtex7890 Mar 31, 2026 +17
The funny part is that midterm voting is already ongoing and Trump already voted by mail.
17
starliteburnsbrite Mar 31, 2026 +20
Postal service isn't. If he commands the postal service to co fiscate anyail.in ballots, then what? And if he tells them to only do it in swing states and districts, what then?
20
redwing180 Mar 31, 2026 +304
I’m looking forward to the next president signing an executive order to immediately put Donald Trump in prison despite whatever pardon he might give himself. If he doesn’t like it, fine he can go ahead and try to sue his way out while he rots there waiting for the process to slowly work its way through the legal system.
304

Republicans are really panicking, midterms are going to wipe them out. November is coming.
595
n_of_1 Mar 31, 2026 +95
I'd love to see some analysis on who will be impacted by these policies. It feels like the proposed policies disproportionately disadvantage *his* base. Conservative women are more likely to change their names when they marry. They are also less likely to have a passport. Older adults with poorer health are more likely to vote by mail. Am I missing something? Or are these voter suppression efforts going to be more harmful to conservatives?
95
holto243 Apr 1, 2026 +45
The thing to remember is selective enforcement. They won't bother in rural red areas because "oh we know you, don't worry" but they will enforce it in cities and more blue counties
45
MaverickBG Apr 1, 2026 +14
This is it exactly. The whole "this will hurt Republicans more" just isn't going to happen. They already know the districts that lean Democrat and the mail in vs in person. Voting in person will continue to be pushed by Republicans as the only "true" voting. And then they can just selectively enforce this policy in areas that have more Democrats voting by mail than Republicans. It's just a numbers game. If you prevent 10000 votes from counting and 6000 of them were going to be Democrats. Who cares about the 4000 Republicans/Others.
14
roastbeeftacohat Apr 1, 2026 +31
> Am I missing something? Or are these voter suppression efforts going to be more harmful to conservatives? He's been getting push back from his party over the save act. I'm reading between the lines here, but I figure Trump was demanding a silver bullet to stop dems from voting. Someone told him this was it; and since donny sees this midterm as existential, he believes this would save him. the rest of the party is more sober.
31
pchs26 Apr 1, 2026 +5
No it will not hurt the Republican voters, the federal government is curating the list of who gets thrown out. People keep thinking things like this will hurt the GOP b/c they keep thinking per the old rules with standard enforcements and procedures. That was then things are being pushed to be enforced differently now and if they get away with even some of it, they will consider it a win. And things like this they only need some give to progress further along their desired path.

The minority party flipping the house and senate has happened almost every time after a presidential election
17
EclecticEuTECHtic Mar 31, 2026 +12
Uh it happened in 2018 and 2022 partially (2022 should have gone much worse for the Democrats based on gas prices and having an incumbent in the White House, so keeping the Senate was a big win).
12
Thuggin95 Mar 31, 2026 +338
Why does he think he can just do anything by executive order?
338
Physical-Dare5059 Mar 31, 2026 +394
Because stephen miller and the heritage foundation convinced him that he, as the leader of the executive branch, has plenary authority. And can do anything he wants, unchallenged. They are wrong.

They are wrong? Is anyone stopping him, or even making a proper effort to do so?

This admin has been taking Ls left and right from the legal system.
78
siberian Mar 31, 2026 +88
..after the fact. But the damage is done. So they can screw with the election and yea, 6 or 12 months later a judge will say "Bad boy!" and nothing changes because no one is reversing an election after 6-12 months go by. Effectively no practical harm reducing actions are being taken.
88
Desperate-Till-9228 Mar 31, 2026 +14
After the fact is always how the legal system works. Even if they pull this off, which they likely will not, they'll end up in a situation like Michigan a decade ago. Do a bunch of unpopular things and then get tossed out.
14
tangerinelion Mar 31, 2026 +27
And then carrying on anyways. It's technically a constitutional crisis but nobody in a position of power will acknowledge it, even Dems.

Are they? They get a legal decision one year after and no one enforced that decision…
8
airinato Mar 31, 2026 +20
They aren't wrong though.  The supremely stupid Court, the final say in the matter, told him he can break the law at will.  While there are caveats, when you tell someone they can do it now and we'll figure it out later, the later part of the equation almost never comes.
20
Lucky_BroadWood Mar 31, 2026 +53
Yes. Because unless he is stopped - which to follow the correct processes is slow, methodical, tedious, he does keep getting away with it. So, until we get a Congress that will actually assert itself he does get to.
53
OkMail2335 Mar 31, 2026 +18

Because he's jealous of the power that dictators have. That's why he admires authoritarians. That's why he has military parades like North Korea. That's why he's making the White House look like a Grand Palace like in Russia. It's why he feels he can invade countries like Putin, without having to ask Congress. It's why he can have his name on the currency, or put his name everywhere, or dictate how everything is run. He's jealous of the fact that Putin and Kim Jong Un can silence critics and opponents with no pushback or repercussions. Trump wants to be a dictator in the worst way as the ultimate exercise of power. The rule of law and our constitution is the only thing that's holding him back from doing so.

Unitary Executive Theory. An “interpretation” of the Constitution that’s essential to Project 2025.

The executive order means nothing.  The states run the elections.  BUT he is hoping someone will sue so they can escalate to the SCOTUS in the meantime.
683
Jeremisio Mar 31, 2026 +162
Does anyone need to sue? Seems like the bootlicker governors will follow it and everyone else will just ignore it. If a lawsuit comes it would be from the doj and lose in the lower courts. Not sure they would have enough time to sue before elections since they would have no cause to until after the elections
162
sanktanglia Mar 31, 2026 +74
the bootlicker governors already have, multiple red states gave over all this data freely

DrinkMilk_saysthecat Mar 31, 2026 +33
It's delay, sow doubt, obfuscate, and create chaos. Drag it out legally, one injunction, followed by another court upholding it. Ultimately it gets prepped for the supreme Court who won't deal with it until after say September and all the bullshit has already pressured the system to the point where no one knows come November if they can vote by mail. This is probably one of several Executive Orders related to voting, each targeting some aspect that favors a GOP outcome, that drags through court battles in an attempt to steal the election. Expect the ID requirements to come next, for example. The most important thing, get your passports now, get the documents to prove your legal voting right in order. Take a deep breath and be ready for more bad news.
33
WhoPutATreeThere Mar 31, 2026 +7
There are going to be all sorts of shenanigans, I’m sure, but a higher percentage of Democrats have passports than Republicans..
7
MindStalker Mar 31, 2026 +70
Read the article. He's ordering federally run post offices to block anyone not in the approved "list", from receiving a ballot.
70
BigHungryFlamingo Mar 31, 2026 +36
I did. I think you should revisit it.  He does not have lists for most states so he has no way of cross referencing most voters to his fantasy list.  From there his plan is to withhold funding from blue states that don’t comply but by then, the ship will have sailed, the elections will be over, Republicans will very likely lose control, and the funding threat will be DOA.
36
timoumd Mar 31, 2026 +30
> He does not have lists for most states so he has no way of cross referencing most voters to his fantasy list.  And? They aren't on the list so they don't get sent. That probably works better for them.
30
BVoLatte Mar 31, 2026 +12
Yeah, but the post office is federally ran. Additionally they just made changes to how post dates work so that it isn't dated for the day you sent it.
12
JakeConhale Mar 31, 2026 +12
For those not aware: >"As before, a customer can ensure that a postmark is applied to his or her mailpiece, and that the date on the postmark matches the date of mailing, by visiting a Postal Service retail location and requesting a manual (local) postmark at the retail counter when tendering their mailpiece. Manual postmarks will be applied free of charge."

mr_evilweed Mar 31, 2026 +135
1. Write a nonsense declaration 2. Get sued 3. Keep the suit tied up in courts as long as possible 4. When elections inevitably happen while the suit is ongoing, claim that there was confusion about legality of some votes and use it as a pretext to throw out the election results
135
tMoneyMoney Mar 31, 2026 +21
Then we’ll just have to go with the w***** while he fights it in court, just like the last time he lost.
21
veridique Mar 31, 2026 +40
He can go wipe his ass with his EO.
40
Bzr21 Mar 31, 2026 +42
Such an Executive order would be .. A) illegal B) unconstitutional C) invalid D) dumb (in a way only Trump can do )
42
icontranquilis Mar 31, 2026 +87
>According to the Daily Caller, the executive order would **require the secretary of the Department of Homeland Security to compile a list of verified U.S. citizens** in each state who are eligible to vote. DHS would undertake the effort with the Social Security Administration, the Daily Caller wrote, citing a White House fact sheet. The **U.S. Postal Service would then be required under the order to only send mail-in ballots to voters who appear on the list**, according to the Daily Caller. Election authorities in each state typically send out mail ballots to voters, not the Postal Service. I think I know how this is gonna go: "Hmm, Smith, Mary, 49, votes demon-rat, definitely not getting a ballot." "Okay, Watson, John, 73, votes Republican, okay let's send him two ballots." "Hernandez... Ugh, don't need to read anymore, no ballot for illegals."
87
MetalMamaRocks Mar 31, 2026 +26
Exactly what I thought when I read it. Democrats don't get mail-in ballots, Republicans do. How much more obvious can it be?
26
kweathergirl Mar 31, 2026 +13
Oh Dems will get them… too late to get their ballot filled out and returned on time.
13
tropicsun Apr 1, 2026 +7
Didn't the post office change the rules on what the date stamp represents? When it gets to a main sorting facility, NOT when they have the envelope.

> According to the Daily Caller, the executive order would require the secretary of the Department of Homeland Security to compile a list of verified U.S. citizens in each state who are eligible to vote. WTF does that have to do with mail-in voting?
42
MisawaAB Mar 31, 2026 +14
I imagine to cross reference the mail-in vote with a registered voter. But the next paragraph says its to make sure ballots are only sent to registered voters.
14
Zoethor2 Mar 31, 2026 +16
This is a solution in search of a problem, right? The states already maintain rolls of registered voters and ballots are only sent to those individuals? Or so I assume from the fact that my state BOE sends me an email every year reminding me to ensure my voter registration information is up to date or I won't get a ballot.
16
Youthz Mar 31, 2026 +8
the problem is democrats potentially winning elections. the solution? the administration picks and chooses who gets to vote by mail.
8
Maxfunky Mar 31, 2026 +8
The postal service is then ordered not to deliver the ballots of anyone not on that list. States can't count them if the postal service doesn't deliver them.
8
Botasoda102 Mar 31, 2026 +7
Means he's not actually stopping mailin voting because he wouldn't get away with it. Also means some states won't comply with sending voter data to trump admin. He's thwarted again.
7
irishnugget Mar 31, 2026 +11
Who? The guy who (and whose family) just voted by mail?

1) Only *Congress* can change national requirements or processes for elections. A Presidential EO cannot. 2) The Heritage Society is behind this c***. That organization must be banished from the US.
9
Interesting-Risk6446 Mar 31, 2026 +17
Since states run elections, the EO is meaningless.
17
emjaycue Mar 31, 2026 +8
Not if the post office refuses to deliver the ballot because it’s not on Trumps list of approved Republican voters.
8
Kokophelli Mar 31, 2026 +32
The red states will obey, blue won’t, thus producing a pretext for the Congress to not certify the election
32
BigHungryFlamingo Mar 31, 2026 +22
Congress does not certify midterm elections.

Lmfao. Okay orange man. Overstepping your role by a massive margin. Lmfao. This guy thinks he runs states rights. He’s president of the federal government. That’s it. States have their own rules

Luckily elections are ran by the states. Nice try pedo.

Will someone tell him EO’s aren’t regal decrees, and these United States aren’t his kingdom.
5
mapoftasmania Mar 31, 2026 +4
His plan is to stay in power by tying up States that don’t comply with this order in Court and refusing to accept their results - while he refuses to leave. That much is obvious.
4
zoroddesign Mar 31, 2026 +4
Executive orders have no control over that. That is a state issue.
4
HuTaosTwinTails Apr 1, 2026 +6
Executives orders arent laws. Nor does the federal government control elections. So this means nothing. Dude is a moron.

Well I signed one saying his means nothing so it balances out.
5
revcraigevil Mar 31, 2026 +4
Time to do away with EOs. The Executive Branches' job is to enforce laws that the Legislative Branch passes. Just like the illegal war that is destroying the entire world's economy. The higher ups in the military should have said sorry sir we can't do that. The courts are finally starting to overturn his stupid EOs. Too late to save the White House.
4
cytherian Mar 31, 2026 +4
He can put in any "Executive Order" he wants regarding elections, but they have no efficacy. There's no legal requirement for any state to abide by them. I think he's hoping for MAGA lunatics in state governments who may try to put his EO's into policy.
4
complete_data75 Mar 31, 2026 +4
He literallly has no power to tell states they can’t do mail in voting Don’t forget this orange turd literally just did mail in voting
4
beerishly Mar 31, 2026 +4
If he is going to EO the damn thing, then why the f*** do we have a govt shutdown?!?! This administration is f****** bonkers. Just illiterate, pedophile sycophants trying to maintain a "godly" ilk to persuade the MAGA fiends! WTF has America become?!?!

You don't get to tell the states how to vote. Get fucked you rotting orange pedo.
4
boatloadoffunk Mar 31, 2026 +4
The executive branch has nothing to do with voting. Almost as if that's on purpose.
4
DaddyBison Mar 31, 2026 +4
Voting is controlled by the states and the states don't have to follow exec orders so, f*** em
