Who else is watching Margo’s Got Money Troubles?

Posted by Mr_Perfectly_UnFine

Just saw episode 4 and I think it is a good show. Great ensemble with Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer and Nick Offer an. Writing is good too! Who else is watching? Are you enjoying it so far?

I'm enjoying it, especially once they brought Offerman in.

Offerman is a STAR! Love him!

I’ve enjoyed watching it for multiple reasons but I had to laugh during the most recent episode because what isn’t Nicole Kidman in these days?!?!

A bad marriage!

Excellent joke

I see Nicole every time I watch a movie at AMC 😂. I am a-lost so typically go 4 times a month

I’m into it so far, Elle Fanning quietly carries half the show. The tone shift in episode 3 sold me. Worth giving it at least two episodes, imo.

I kinda decided to stick with it after ep 3 too!

OneReportersOpinion Apr 25, 2026 +2
Yeah I didn’t like the first episode. Just so many bad decisions she was making lol
2
CrissBliss Apr 24, 2026 +12
Elle is really making her mark as a talented actress
12
BalrogSlayer00 Apr 24, 2026 +10
With The Great, and Predator Badlands. I’d say she’s made a mark!

PunkMeWillYa Apr 24, 2026 -1
GTFO... That's her in *Badlands*? Man she looks different with short hair, I just didn't put that together or thought it was the sister.

two5five1 Apr 24, 2026 +2
what’s the tone shift? haven’t watched but I don’t mind spoilers
2
mateushkush Apr 24, 2026 +5
I didn’t see much of a tone shift, just that the story progresses.

Thanks for the heads up, watch at least 3 episodes. It's on my list of shows to watch when hunny bunny is at work. Unfortunately, that list is growing faster than I can get to it.

Really enjoying it. Elle Fanning is amazing, and I want more scenes with Pfeiffer and Offerman. I also love the roommate.

AnnyongFunke Apr 24, 2026 +13
I read the book (and loved it) I think this is such a good adaptation
13
bebeni89 Apr 24, 2026 +4
Can’t decide if I want to start the book or finish the show first. I’ve been looking for my next read and so far I’ve been enjoying the series.

immoreoriginalmate Apr 25, 2026 +3
I didn’t enjoy the book much, the series is much better. Just my opinion, it’s obviously popular and well liked by plenty.

Mundane-Area6067 Apr 24, 2026 +9
It is a great show… finely acted and very well written.

I love it and I love the dad

thekillercook Apr 24, 2026 +17
So good but my wife calls it Margo's got nipples showing.
17
ArchDucky Apr 24, 2026 +8
BRB... adding this to my watch list.

thekillercook Apr 24, 2026 +1
She’s topless in most episodes
1
balasoori Apr 24, 2026 -12
Normally, I would mind this, but she looks like a teenager, which means I usually fast-forward , i know she's in her 20s, but still
-12
thekillercook Apr 24, 2026 +2
It’s part of the plot it isn’t just for shock value
2
kielbasa330 Apr 24, 2026 +2
Fast forward? Come on 🙄
2
sylanar Apr 24, 2026 -4
For the plot... Right?
-4
jarrettbrown Apr 25, 2026 +2
She was also mostly topless in the great as well

-DictatedButNotRead Apr 24, 2026 +4
Pretty sure those are prosthetics 😂😂

She confirmed they are not

Been watching it with my wife. I dig it. It's grounded in the real world.
6
ryyan714 Apr 24, 2026 +15
I am enjoying it. Even the nudity seems to fit unlike most shows today
15
MSW_21 Apr 24, 2026 +5
I had no idea Elle was so comfortable getting n*** on a screen! It’s like every episode lol
5
Temporary_Log_5376 Apr 25, 2026 +5
Did you not watch The Great?
5
MSW_21 Apr 25, 2026 +1
No! Is this a trend for her? lol
1
kielbasa330 Apr 24, 2026 -1
Ah dang now I can't suggest this to my gf

Anything with Elle Fanning I'm in, Nick is a bonus 👍

CriticalEngineering Apr 24, 2026 +6
Definitely enjoying it so far.

bornatmidnight Apr 24, 2026 +3
I’m enjoying it! It really picks up after episode 3 I say

ThisRiverIsWild_ Apr 24, 2026 +6
The pilot is very solid. Then objectively the series holds up thanks to a great cast (Fanning and Offerman above all). And with this cast there was probably room to make everything more concentrated in a 100' film. But it's a laudable attempt.
6
veek61 Apr 24, 2026 +8
I watched the first episode but it didn’t do anything for me.
8
somecasper Apr 24, 2026 +9
The first two episodes have Surf Dracula syndrome.
9
kristinL356 Apr 24, 2026 +6
I'd definitely call the first ep the weakest so far.
6
pan0ramic Apr 24, 2026 +4
I couldn’t even make it through the episode. I didn’t understand why I was supposed to care about any of the characters
4
paxmary Apr 25, 2026 +1
I stopped and ended up going back. Glad I did! I gets really good in ep 3! Nick Offerman BRINGS it!! Fun story. Can’t wait for episode 4!!
1
Lima_Bean_Jean Apr 24, 2026 +2
I am enjoying it more than i thought i would!
2
stringcheese000 Apr 24, 2026 +2
I like it so far 👍
2
Immediate-Spray7257 Apr 24, 2026 +2
I'm not hating it
2
MyNameIsNotGump Apr 24, 2026 +2
I resubscribed to Apple TV so I could watch it as I love the cast and had previously listened to Elle Fanning narrate the audiobook for the novel it was adapted from. I’m hooked
2
PunkMeWillYa Apr 24, 2026 +2
I think it's good. It addresses an issue that I'm sure many young women find themselves dealing with. I'm down with it.
2
heavysunshine Apr 24, 2026 +2
I'm liking it, though as a mom who had BFing issues and a colicky baby, there's been a lot that was triggering. I was literally crying during one of the episodes, and I don't know if it was for the character or for me. Anyway, +1 for authenticity. Edit: typo

AF2005 Apr 24, 2026 +2
I’ve been enjoying it so far. Elle Fanning is (or has been already) one to watch, she’s going to have a great career. Good dynamics between the leads and it’s been fun seeing Michelle Pfeiffer do her thing.
2
chummers73 Apr 24, 2026 +4
We really like it
4
MikeArrow Apr 24, 2026 +2
It's good but I low key hate the actual storyline, so I guess they're doing a good job. It's frustrating to watch someone clearly intelligent and thoughtful make the worst decisions possible at every turn.
2
keving87 Apr 24, 2026 +1
I'll watch it in a few months when I have a lot of Apple TV stuff to cram into that month lol
1
Nuo_Vibro Apr 24, 2026 +1
Yep. Loving it
1
Soft_Significance718 Apr 24, 2026 +1
I begrudgingly started it because apple kept shoving it down my throat and now I’m absolutely obsessed.
1
spalaz Apr 25, 2026 +1
Honestly had no idea what it was about. It was 50%interesting. Then ellie basically made me feel like this was a European show (n*** all the time without any issue at all). Once I stopped even noticing and just paying attention to the story and humor, it all lined up. It worked.
1
Adulations Apr 25, 2026 +1
I love it

treemister1 Apr 25, 2026 +1
On episode 3 and while I like the show I'm infuriated by how dumb Margo is. It's honestly astounding.
1
Trenbolone-Papi2 Apr 25, 2026 +1
I like it so far
1
hullayilmazmilkshake Apr 25, 2026 +1
i just watched the fourth episode and so far so good. i read the book few months ago, it was fun but not the best. i think show is going much better than the book. maybe because it has nick offerman in it.
1
Gultark Apr 25, 2026 +1
We are enjoying it so far and most of the main characters are likeable and compelling  it was sold to us by a friend as a comedy and it’s definitely not been that. Much more on the drama side and the first few episodes have the characters going through the emotional wringer.  After the latest episode we can see how it’s going to develop the lighter hearted comedy side but yeah the first few episodes were really misold to us!
1
After-Elk-3872 Apr 25, 2026 +1
It has nudity courtesy of Elle Fanning. But it isn't s*** nudity (especially later) If you've ever had to care for a wife and a newborn, it's nothing surprising.
1
FluffyMoomin Apr 24, 2026 +1
The pace is a little frustrating sort of like murderbot. It feels like episodes are too short, especially now that we are on single episodes after the three episode premiere. Elle seems like she's just playing Catherine from The Great to me too.

Jay-Five Apr 24, 2026 -16
What a fabulous show. Binged it in one week.
-16
Mr_Perfectly_UnFine Apr 24, 2026 +4
Oh. I was a bit iffy after ep 1 but I think it eventually got better especially after episode 3
4
WildSeaworthiness552 Apr 24, 2026 -9
Same. I couldn't really follow it
-9
Jay-Five Apr 24, 2026 -13
Didn't realize this was a circle jerk, contrary opinions seem to not be welcome in here. lol.
-13
Senators_1992 Apr 24, 2026 +16
You’re probably being downvoted because you said you “binged it one week”, even though the show’s only halfway done.
16
WildSeaworthiness552 Apr 24, 2026
It's weird I got down voted on my opinion of a show to the question posted "who is watching this show?" 🤔
0
Jay-Five Apr 24, 2026 -6
That too, But my original post said I didn't like it.
-6
Jay-Five Apr 24, 2026 -11
I can still binge all the episodes released so far.
-11
AdrianW3 Apr 24, 2026 +11
Yeah, just like I binged it in one hour when the first episode dropped.
11
Jay-Five Apr 24, 2026 -1
one hour? Amateur. You have to 2x speed watch for the best experience.
-1
Fritanga5lyfe Apr 24, 2026 +5
But you said you binged the show not all the episodes released so far

CapriciousManchild Apr 24, 2026 -1
It’s funny to me as someone from Orange County hearing them pronounce city’s incorrectly Calling Huntington Beach “hunt-ting-ton” instead of “hunnington “ and Costa Mesa as “Costs MEHsa” instead of “Costa MAYsa” gave me a big laugh because it’s obvious these people are reading the script verbatim. It’s a good show though and entertaining.
-1
Wrong-Violinist5686 Apr 24, 2026 -20
It bothers me that Michelle Pfeiffer is 67 playing a 30 year old.
-20
Fritanga5lyfe Apr 24, 2026 +7
But she is not playing a 30 year old, she is playing like a mid 50s year old
7
StarWars_and_SNL Apr 24, 2026 +3
Um what? Have they ever stated Pfeiffer’s character’s age? I believe her character is probably supposed to be in her 50s but let’s not act like her presence is mathematically impossible. Women can get pregnant into their 40s. Let’s say she had Margot when she was 42. Margot is 20. So 62 years is not a stretch at all.
