Some surf bum I met on a beach. The guy had an encyclopedic knowledge of every topic we discussed but had no real formal education. He was really humble and just wanted to surf and live quietly. He epitomized why we should never judge a book by it’s cover.

Very true. What an awesome human; living life his way and on his terms.

My Grandma. She would share her wisdom with me when I was growing up. Most intelligent person in the world: most of what she said was true. Even though she has passed on, I still think about what she would say. I miss her xo

I’m sorry for your loss. There’s nothing better than learning some wisdom from somebody who’s been around awhile

Thank you. She passed away a long time ago. She left the biggest impression on me as a kid. I'd love to have the same relationship with my future grandkids.

my editor at work reminds me of your grandma - she's got that same way of cutting through all the noise and just knowing what matters

One of my friends, he’s able to connect everything he’s ever learned and relate it to a concept he knows nothing about using prior knowledge

That’s pretty neat. Probably comes in handy sometimes also

My grad school supervisor. He’s just obviously a brilliant person, and exactly as eccentric as geniuses are supposed to be. To give an example, he beat five of us in chess simultaneously.

A guy I know, he is very insightful and can analyse complex situations from many different points of view. He can also critically assess future events and predict the correct way to navigate the potential problems that may arise. Combined with practical skills and follow through, it's impressive.

If you think a high IQ means you're intelligent then you're definitely not intelligent

Lol, I don’t read books. They’re an archaic and obsolete form of information dissemination.

Is that just being narcissistic or are you actually intelligent?
