Taylor Sheridan and Ryan Murphy. Especially Taylor. He keeps making the same show.

Taylor Sheridan is just collecting ranches and needs the money. I just hope he writes a movie soon so he can flex his creative juices again.

Also Feud: Bette & Joan and Pose were solid. I haven’t watched AHS but initial seasons received critical acclaim. I also like *Hollywood* a lot. If you haven’t watched it, I’d say go give it a watch, it’s just a miniseries and was fun from start to end.

Wasn't even written by Murphy, though. He "only" directed.

His one or two outliers that are really good, don't make up for all the other stuff he shoves out. That's the problem.

He can hook you in with premise and overload with camp before going off the rails entirely. At some point it's a heck of a TV show so I can't d******* the man entirely.

Ryan Murphy is many things, but a hack he is not. A hack is “I hate my stupid b**** wife and I am a lazy fat slob”.
Ryan Murphy is 180 degrees from hack. He is batshit insane. You cannot guess where his crazy shows are going or even guess the next line of what any character is gonna say.
Ryan Murphy is many things, but hack he is not.

Yes! I hate that he talks down to this audience. He wants to be Lorne micheal. The center of a nebula making it happen. I really just think he cares more about making a show than his own act. I bet being off television or not famous scares that dude

It’s Chuck Lorree. Two and a Half Men and Big Bang Theory are the hackiest sitcoms I’ve ever seen.

Don’t like his shows but the man makes smash hit after smash hit. Not a hack at all, just knows how to play to the general public

A hack is someone who’s unoriginal and formulaic. Not someone who doesn’t make profitable shows. All his shows are so basic and formulaic. Literally the definition of hack.

My bad my man, I just looked up the actual definition of hack and Lorre fits it to a T. Carry on!

They were both the number one shows on tv for their run. Their quality might be bad but he knows what he’s doing.

Hack doesn’t refer to popularity. Both those shows were formulaic which is what hack means

Scott Buck ruins everything, but the studio heads love him because he delivers on time and under budget.

David Beinoff and D.B Weiss.
They ruined the last two Games of Thrones seasons and left Star Wars once they signed that multi-year Netflix deal. Surprised they haven't been mentioned in this thread so far.

Because most people realize how incredibly difficult just making my that show was. They’re not hacks just because you don’t like the ending.

Mindy Kailing, I wouldn’t necessarily say she’s a hack, she’s pretty solid. But most of her shows start to decline after a few seasons.
