Who remembers watching Dynasty back in the days?

Posted by Jabba_108

This was one of those shows where you couldn’t miss an episode because there was always some kind of drama going on. The Carrington mansion, the business battles, the family betrayals, and of course those unforgettable fights between Alexis and Krystle. Prime time TV just felt different back then. For those that watched it when it originally aired: Did you watch it every week or catch reruns later? Who was your favorite character? What was the most memorable moment you remember? Do you think shows like this could still work today?

You had to watch it each week because there were rarely reruns since it was so serialized so they made longer seasons of original episodes. Luckily we had a VCR could record it. I watched a couple of old episodes on Pluto where there is a dedicated channel, and it was so over the top!

was one of the shows my parents allowed my brother and I watch with them as teens. Kind of weird in retrospect. When you see it now it is just glitzy trash. :)

Watching Die-Nasty at the gay-club-turned-TV-room was the best part of the week. It was so much better watching it with loud queens and a few cocktails. Gospel according to Family Guy: Linda Evans was last seen working the late shift at a grocery store. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMY85jkNSX4

Watched it weekly, adored Krystle, worst was when her and Blake’s daughter rode little wooden pony and she shouldn’t cause she had some heart issues…and she was alone, no one around to stop her…this was in eighties in Yugoslavia, imagine!
