I've seen this movie before and the sequel looks like it has a bigger budget

actually WHO evaluates risk of Hunta virus pandemic as very low, and these guys usually start to panic first. Basically the virus is less contagious and more deadly than COVID. So we are most likely gonna be alright, but don't quote me on that.

How do they panic first anybody remember the WHO calling the risk for a pandemic low with covid and it not beeing airborne. While in Wuhan 60.000 people were infected and the Chinese goverment was welding people into their homes.

Haven’t they been saying it’s of no concern for months?!

If the Covid pandemic taught me one thing it was that WHO changes their views faster than a virus variant…

Yeah, they did, and still do. There is most likely nothing to worry about, yet. Famous last words I know.

I see commenters are already trying to play this as a gotcha and saying the WHO has “changed their minds”. They haven’t. There was always a risk for more cases but the virus remains a low risk of becoming a pandemic anyways because the virus is not easily transmissible.

Spain is patting themselves on the back for putting gasoline on the fire. While the WHO chief acknowledges that the virus is out because of travel before it was notified in early May, Spain is proud that they got rid of the problem and expects/hopes other countries support and protect their citizens. What a joke

They should rightfully prepare for it, doesn't mean it'll happen though. Even if a very bad event has a low probability to occur they need to be cautious.

its like saying the virus in plague inc manages to quickly spread across half the planet and the high mortality rate starts kicking in so now everyone has started cure research but its too late as now half the world is empty all beacuse no one realised the severity of the virus. this is how i'll win most scenarios ingame .

😂😂😂😂😂 The amount of idiots who have told me I have no clue what Im talking about when Ive said WHO is downplaying this is hilarious. And now look! Here they are saying its spreading around. A sickness thats supposedly impossible to spread from human to human has done the impossible! Get ready for a new pandemic yall.

The Andes virus spreads human to human.

WHO never said it wouldnt spread.... or much less that it was impossible to spread from human to human

This strain spreads human to human, BUT! It also people are only contagious for about one day, and it has a higher mortality rate than Covid. This means the virus can’t end up being a pandemic like Covid did. It can’t spread as far as quickly. This is being overblown by the media.

"At the moment, there is no sign that we are seeing the start of a larger outbreak, but of course the situation could change and, given the long incubation period of the virus, it’s possible we might see more cases in the coming weeks," I said we should be careful in another thread and a shit ton of people claimed WHO and specialists said not to worry so there's nothing to worry about. I dont get why so many people are dismissive of this. One user even said "do you think a guy named send420nudes knows better than the WHO? lol. Hopefully its nothing, but we should be aware that it can be something very serious.
