Hannibal (the mastermind), Face (the smooth talker), B.A. Baracus (the muscle), or Murdock (the wild card).
Back then this was one of those shows you just sat down and watched when it came on. Action, teamwork, and that classic line: "1 love it when a plan comes together."
Who was your favorite and why?
B. A. Baracus, because he wasn't just the muscle, he was the build guy. All of those montages, the welding of extra armor & extra guns, that's mostly him.
Then later I heard the story behind Mr T's name and the gold chains, and why he's no longer wearing them, and my respect only grew.

B.A. was actually quite a groundbreaking character for 1980s TV. The others were kind of stock white guys—Face (cute, but stupid), Murdock (insane pilot), Hannibal (questionable leader), but then you had B.A. who on the outside seemed like another stock 80s TV guy—the scary Black dude, but no, this Black dude was an *engineer*. There was not a lot of Black representation on TV in the 80s and they were not anything like this. The only other Black engineer I can think of is George Jefferson’s son and it was only a mention. But every week we saw B.A. doing the impossible, like turning a tiny Le Car into a tank.
Mr T seems like that rare bird that we haven’t heard anything upsetting about and I really hope it stays that way. I’ve always heard that in spite of his image that he’s a good guy that does good work with children and I don’t know that I could take another Cosby-level betrayal.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mr._T
>He stopped wearing virtually all his gold, one of his identifying marks, after helping with the clean-up after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. He said, "As a Christian, when I saw other people lose their lives and lose their land and property ... I felt that it would be a sin before God for me to continue wearing my gold. I felt it would be insensitive and disrespectful to the people who lost everything, so I stopped wearing my gold."

Dirk Benedict was one of the most charismatic and likeable actors on TV at the time. He was great on Battlestar Galactica as well.

My grandad owned a van back when I was a kid, and I was always trying to get him to start driving with the side door open so I could jump in while it was moving. Looking back, I understand why he wouldn't!
He did let us stand up in the back while driving down windy, narrow country roads and pretend to surf though!

The van is iconic, of course, but Face's Corvette was fire.

I liked the crazy one, Murdock.
Does anyone recall how they would repeatedly and casually drug B.A. because of his fear of flying? I know it was unintentional, but as a little kid it made me think adults routinely just sedated one another whenever it was convenient, or for fun.
That show also burned through an unusual amount of military weapons and explosives, and yet nobody, including the enemies or their various henchmen, ever died. No matter how huge the explosion or heavy the gun fire, everyone always managed to escape unharmed.

They stopped drugging BA due to Nancy Reagan's anti-drug campaign. So instead they switched it up to finding ways to knock him out via blows to the head. So much better!

I thought they also ended up using hypnotism at some point, I vaguely remember a episode where the sleep word was 'eclipse' and in a scene some asked BA for 'some clips' (ammunition) and he went unconscious during a firefight....or it was a fever dream of mine...

They made a point to cut to the bad guys crawling out of the burnt wreckage, even if their helicopter just slammed into a cliff and exploded. I believe that's part of what makes the A-Team a live action cartoon.

Murdock was shot in one episode, but i think that was the only team member to ever be seriously injured.
The show was so weird, over the top action and gun violence... Near zero injuries

I think Murdoch because he always seemed to have the most quotable lines. But also Face because Dirk Benedict was just so cool between playing Starbuck and Face.
And, what, no love for Frankie? (I’ll see myself out)

Hannibal. First of all, his name is Hannibal. I used to think that was a cool name until Hannibal Lecter ruined it. And he always wore gloves for some reason. Why did he wear gloves all the time? I don't know, but it looked cool.

As a kid, i loved Hannibal. I was always Hannibal when we played The A-Team after school. But as I've watched the show as an adult, I realize what a wonderful job Dwight Schultz did bringing Murdock to life. he was having so much fun and Murdock just stole the show.

The stunt guys. They must have had so much fun destroying cars and blowing stuff up. When the bad guys drive up in a early '70's full size car, those guys are going to go for a flight in that car. If that jeep has a roll bar, later it will get rolled.
