The weekend is nearly among us. I still have about 6 hours left of work, but have to work tomorrow and Sunday as well. Only half days and I'll be by myself so it will not be so bad. Then only 3 days of work next week than 10 days off for a little vacation. It will be the last vacation as a family of 3, as we will become a family of 4 at the end of September. What are you looking forward to this weekend?
Ooh congratulations on your upcoming vacation and family addition.
I volunteer for an animal shelter and tomorrow is the annual "Ester Egg-Stravaganza" event. I help take pictures of kids and animals with the Easter Bunny. It's always a lot of fun because I do it with my bestie.

Excited to go to this cool restaurant that is within an art museum, and seeing Harry Potter at the Theater!

Very jealous. Not many Spanish tapas restaurants where I am and I can't really eat at the ones that are due to allergies. Saw every Harry Potter film from 3 onwards at the cinema. They played 1&2 at some cinemas on the 20th anniversarys but unfortunately was unable to go to any.

Ahh. I misunderstood what you meant by theatre- guessing you mean The Cursed child. I've not read the book or seen the play but know people who have and they loved it.

I'm always excited for the weekend and don't even have many plans.
Step kid is getting back from a multi-day overnight school field trip, so we might look to do a movie night on Friday. Saturday, my fiancee+I are going out for a joint hobby activity we recently picked up first thing, but the rest of the day is unscripted. Maybe I'll finally setup the power rack for the home gym that recently arrived?
We're doing a wedding vacation with my kids and her kid, and then a longer honeymoon this summer. Which is great to look forward to; but it also pretty much consumed all of our vacation time, which has given us a much longer stretch than we normally have between vacations.
Really, the lack of any obligations to "work" will always be enough to look forward to weekends. Current timeline is about 12-13 years to (slightly early) retirement. It will be weird to stop looking forward to the weekend then.

Tomorrow we're having all of our adult children over to celebrate my partner's upcoming birthday. I'm not doing a meal but instead servicing a slew of appetizers. It's his APPY BIRTHDAY PARTY lol

The kids have activities they've been looking forward to for a while, so I'm excited for them. My main focus is waking up on Saturday morning and being able to "take my time" with breakfast, coffee, and my shower. Things don't start kicking off for us until around 10 am, so that'll be nice.
Last week I was just sick, so being able to rest and recoup will be a nice change of pace.

Very ready for the weekend. I've got a short work week next week so this one feels extra good knowing there's a light stretch ahead. Planning to batch cook something nice on Sunday, been craving a proper slow-cooked curry. Might also attempt to finally fix the wobbly shelf in my kitchen that I've been ignoring for about three months. What about you, any plans?

Work, and if the weather warms up Sunday, take the kid to the park and maybe swing my clubs afterwards
