Tried it. Found it draining and doing more harm than good. Wasn’t a dream anymore. Perfectly fine with that. New dreams will emerge 👍

Life happened. Got too old to pursue it, pretty much.
Also, the world changed. I wanted to be a writer, but now AI is producing books at 1000x a second, and they're all over Amazon, etc. Writing is never going to be as profitable/respected as it was in the past. Beside, people don't read quite as much anymore.

I've never really had a dream, just been going with the flow. A simple peaceful life with lots of love is a dream in itself!

I didn't manage to get the scholarship for the university I wanted; it was a freaking excellent scholarship, but I just couldn't afford it on my own, so, well, goodbye, medical career.

Money. Everything costs money, and dreams don't buy money unless you're born with money. I'm not born with money.
I would have liked to work with my hands, but my parents made me clear I needed an education. So I got educated. But I secretly would enjoy wood working so much more than my current job. And not just working the wood, but also growing it. Harvesting it, and much more stuff like that.
There's a very small market and not enough money to be made that way. So I keep grinding.
I could have gone into carpentry, and I should, but I was a youngling and trusted my parents. They weren't wrong, but they weren't completely right.

Too sick and poor for it.
And my body doesn't allow me to do those things anymore.

The most important thing is money. Once I've saved enough, I want to pursue my dreams again.

Wanted to be an actor. Did 3 commercials as an 17yo and evening acting courses for film and tv , when I was deciding on what to do for university I had a tough choice. I decided to get a commerce degree. I now make decent money but i always wonder.

I almost had my pilot's license then was diagnosed with heart problems that grounded me. I wanted a career in aviation.
I had a stroke a few years later so I made the right choice, but it was still devastating.
I love flying so much.

Horrible in math, bad with blood and anatomy, has dyslexia. There goes my dream of working with NASA, being a magazine editor and or being a doctor.
Fate has had it- I avoided all math related subjects in college and took a degree specifically with the least amount of math.
I ended up being a features writer for a magazine - still do not know how I landed that with my grammar skills, and worked for 10+ years doing minor accounting.
I also failed chemistry badly in HS and college- ended up with a job dealing with caustic chemicals.
During the pandemic, I took up a job with a medical college and had to learn cardiology helping professors build exams and check test papers.
