Why Netflix Hiked Prices, Explained in One Chart
Netflix feels confident raising U.S. prices because it generates low revenue per hour streamed — indicating it has room to increase subscription fees.

People will keep paying, that is why.

It’s why Disney charges absurd prices to get into their parks. Enough people will pay it.

Unfortunately so. Listnook outrage but masses keep paying. Not sure how much longer the enshitification can go on but for the moment they do. And when they stop they will walk it back 5% till they can up it again

Blame people not Netflix. ESPECIALLY for ad-supported plans. People care more about saving money than a couple of ads per hour. So users continue to get a choice there. I don't understand the outrage.

Isn’t it obvious? There’s no corporate altruism. People can’t seriously believe that.

>As the MoffettNathanson analysts put it: “Netflix delivers significant value to its subscribers that has room to be better monetized over time.” I hate this timeline

It does seem like the content they do focus on (think Love is Blind) has a new season before people can finish the last one. Bring me back to the lower prices but DVDs in the mail 🤣

I wish my job was easy enough that I could pull the equivalent of generating an entire unnecessary article expanding the sentiment of "Because they can".

As long as customers are willing to pay those prices they will do so. The answer to that is NOT piracy, but abstaining from consuming their product.

Thankfully there are way effective ways how to watch tv shows at least in my country than paying for this if you know what i mean :))
