That was more like Tim Robinson until the last 3 seconds. 😂

Perfect, I've been waiting for a show that takes place at the intersection of Tim Robinson and David Lynch.

If you haven't watched the Curse I would recommend that. Has some of the weird Lynch feel to it but also some ridiculous moments.

Could be the case, since Hiro worked on Atlanta & that had heavy Twin Peaks vibes

Hiro Murai+ Andrew DeYoung as part of the creative team for this sounds amazing already, even before knowing that Matthew Rhys and Stephen Root are part of the cast

Now that is the best thing I've learned all day. Not a lot of learning today, admittedly..

This is a "teaser", not a "sneak peek"

The sneak peek makes sense. The “creature appears in the shot” so it’s a sneak peek of the creature. However I can’t see

We finished it like five years ago and nothing’s come close to its combo of sex, violence, characters, or story arch. It ruined TV for me. 😆

Apple really cornering the market on "Deeply Unsettling" Television, I see

Apple crushing it in general with their shows. I take their high quality approach over Netflix's high quantity approach any day. Will probably cancel Netflix soon but keep Apple+.

Well, Apple's two biggest shows had strange premises, weird launch videos, and nobody really knew what the story was about. Maybe that's the point.

Nobody knew who Dan Erickson was, on the other hand. And to be honest, I think we overestimate how much the real world knows about showrunners, writers, and directors.

“Weird” can be intriguing. Minimalist can be intriguing. But this one is minimal even by minimalist standards. When you have to slow the video down to 25% in order to catch a frame or two, that’s really pushing it. I’m not asking for the entire plot to be laid out in a teaser, but I’m also a little tired of the opposite extreme where we’re given nothing and expected to not hyped.

Sometimes less is more, and sometimes less is simply less.
