If you haven't watched the Curse I would recommend that. Has some of the weird Lynch feel to it but also some ridiculous moments.

Apple crushing it in general with their shows. I take their high quality approach over Netflix's high quantity approach any day. Will probably cancel Netflix soon but keep Apple+.

Well, Apple's two biggest shows had strange premises, weird launch videos, and nobody really knew what the story was about. Maybe that's the point.

Nobody knew who Dan Erickson was, on the other hand. And to be honest, I think we overestimate how much the real world knows about showrunners, writers, and directors.

“Weird” can be intriguing. Minimalist can be intriguing. But this one is minimal even by minimalist standards. When you have to slow the video down to 25% in order to catch a frame or two, that’s really pushing it. I’m not asking for the entire plot to be laid out in a teaser, but I’m also a little tired of the opposite extreme where we’re given nothing and expected to not hyped.
