That is now *3* different major releases going on digital at the end of the month. Avatar: Fire and Ash was just confirmed, as is Wuthering Heights, and Scream 7 is also rumored for the same date.

28 Years Later: The Bone Temple is going to Netflix on the same day as well.

I have ps plus (essential so core isn't included I guess) and I'd never heard of their platform until your comment haha. Maybe I've seen it and didn't realize it was a streaming platform since it's just a word.

Big day for-- actually do these movies have much if any overlap in fans? Sure the young female demo probably with Wuthering Heights and S7, but I'd wager most period piece romance fans and slasher fans aren't the biggest overlap.

My 16 year old daughter and all her friends are the prime demo for both. She'll watch anything with Jacob Elordi in it, and loves slashers.

Better still are 4K blu-rays announced and Avatar is getting a 3D release too.

The story wasn't the best but the cinematography and visuals were amazing, it's definitely worth watching for that alone in my opinion! Plus Margot Robbie in a corset.

$234 million on an $80 million budget, so not bad. But you have to imagine WB was hoping for a little bit more from their big bet on Em.

$230 million on a costume drama like this is almost unheard of. This is as good as WB could have reasonably hoped, especially considering that the movie isn't very good

This guy thinks executives have reasonable expectations. As much as I love Marvel and Pixar somewhere along the way they really fucked up box office expectations

It also made most of it's money internationaly. While it isn't accurate to the book, this tells you that international audiences want more of these period drama films.

They’re gonna have a hell of a time casting for the miscarried fetus that’s the protagonist of the next film, but I’m interested to see what they come up with.
