Yellowstone's: Marshals. Didn't know Sheridan could ever create such a flop.

Posted by Mailbox2222

Midway through the season (I know there are still new episodes) this show has lazy writing, bad acting, plot holes, and the and storylines that don't make sense. Most episodes involve the Marshal team solving crimes and getting the bad guys, only problem is.....that is not how US Marshal's work. They work for the courts: find fugitives, e***** criminals, act on federal warrants. Most of the "crimes" conducted during the show goes to local authorities or the FBI. Additionally, there is a 0.1 percent chance that any Marshal would deputize a civilian like Kasey. They usually Deputize people from other agencies. It's giving me like CSI vibes, where they can solve a clue without any context how the reaches to that said clue, find everything they need and get their perp with unrealistic methods withing hours. I get it sometimes you have to suspend some realities for the sake of entertainment, but I find myself becoming more idiotic. I stopped watching. Here is hoping the "Dutton Ranch" is a lot better.

i don’t think Sheridan is involved at all, beyond being a producer because they’re his characters. I tried to watch a couple and it just felt like NCIS. it sucks because i like Gil Birmingham a lot and wanted to see more of his character.

NCIS is still a good show tho. I know ppl who binged it and got into it. I see the comparisons a lot, but it still can be good despite not being prestige tv.

Sheridan isn't involved with the making of it at all. It's why it feels so cheaply produced compared to his other stuff.

The showrunner said that he consulted with Sheridan thru the process but it's his vision. Sheridan demands a blank check to do his projects in his vision. That's why Ellison said no and pushed him to go to the c***.

If you're confused it's Peacock

Also less plots around hating women and weird scenes about horses.

I tolerated the bad writing. I tolerated more boring rainwater plots. I tolerated more moping by Kasey. I tolerated more boring "teams" references. But when they had the scene where they were going to introduce a gambling addiction I just had to tap out.

My favorite was in one episode they took a helicopter to save a kidnapped victim, then all of a sudden had an SUV to rescue another near by. Like, where did the SUV come from?

That last one is a nice storyline arc. What's the issue? People seem to like prestige Tv because they are deep and arcs are the premise, so why not this?

Its just so boring and cliche when writers drop in the drinking/gambling/drug problem. Its been done 1000 times. I'm sure she gets forced to steal to pay the c***** who roughs her up but the team comes to together to put the c***** in its place because they're a family or some bullshit.

Taylor Sheridan didn't create Marshals. It's a paint by numbers CBS episodic procedural, what did you expect? It's not going to get deep. They still haven't even given Kayce a real personality yet and you're worried about how a show uses a shortcut to deputize a former SEAL when his friend needed his help in his home state.

Sheridan isn’t writing or directing “Marshall’s” - and it’s obvious. Check out “The Madison”…Sheridan is in top form

The downside of Sheridan's success is that all the shows he got greenlit kept him busy and his eye off Yellowstone proper.

I think all his shows are slop shit.

All police procedurals degrade to "murder of the week". Harmon bitched about it on NCIS.

Both Spinoffs should've been Plus exclusive and it's f****** bullshit that Marshall's isn't. I hope to the heavens when Sheridan goes to the C***, none of his projects are for NBC. They should only be for Peacock and maybe USA/Syfy. FCC ruins everything and forces shows to be sanitized as f***.

Just go watch Justified instead. (again if necessary)

I can't imagine why they would want to build a show around Luke Grimes.

It will not last past the first season. It is a complete waste of time.

It’s already been renewed and CBS have order 18-20 epidoes for Season 2.

A flop isn't a show you just don't like. A flop means most people aren't watching. I don't watch it either but it's only been more than a month and it set a ratings record for its premiere. Whether or not that is sustained, that's a good start for any show.

Exactly. People on Listnook might not like it but it’s one of the most watched shows this year, viewership is just behind the last season of Stranger Things. That’s not a flop.

It's a flop compared to all the other YS spinoffs.
