"Ultra-xenophobe calls British dudes her god". Oh the irony.

It doesn’t need to make sense for rightwingers, no matter what the country is.  Takaichi is popular with Japan’s right wing for her staunch anti-foreigner stance.  Yet she is constantly fellating an orange foreigner on the daily

It’s like how western ultranationalists often love Japan and are weaboos. I guess in Japan they are Anglophiles lmao.

They’re politicians. Are you new? You do everything at your job you said you’d do during your interview?

Deep purple is perhaps the most loved foreign hard rock/metal band in Japan. They really like the blackmore style of guitar playing

me too! Although I gotta admit I've listened only to the Dio-era. Still, what an era it is: Stargazer, A light in the Black, Tarot Woman, The temple of the King, Sixteenth Century Greensleeves, Catch the Rainbow (+ that sweet JoJo reference), Gates of Babylon...and literally EVERY song in those 3 albums...I could list 100 compliments, so I'll summarize: **THEY'RE BEAUTIFUL.**

Deep Purple = heavy metal in Eastern Europe / Japan Black Sabbath = heavy metal in Britain Led Zeppelin = heavy metal in America

No one is America thinks of Led Zeppelin as heavy metal except 80-year-old Mormon ladies. It's Classic Rock.

It's hard rock. Classic Rock isn't a genre, lol.

If it sounds hard it's because you didn't blow the dust off the vinyl.

You are incorrect - I am an 80 year old Mormon *man*. My comment is in the context of '70's and '80's and I ***am*** older than you !!

Seems like a omen when this band shows up in headlines with a world leader around Q1. See below article from 2008: https://www.thetimes.com/sunday-times-rich-list/profile/article/deep-purple-perform-for-russias-future-president-gtkhz70sn8x

They like your music, just don’t want you living in their country. How rich. I’m sure the PM is a very smart woman….

They’re pretty big in Japan. They did the boss song for Blue Dragon (a Dragon Quest spiritual sequel)

That one dude from Hunter x Hunter had an ability he named Deep Purple. It makes sense to me that their legacy in Japan is larger than I understood.

Are any of the members she would have heard still with the band?

Yeah, most of the band: Ian Gillian, Ian Paice, and Roger Glover.
