The Magicians - Season 3 Episode 5. Two of the main characters have to solve a puzzle to obtain a magical key. They end up spending a lifetime together solving the puzzle. It perfectly captures what makes The Magicians special.

This is going to sound like a cop out, or too boring....
But my show is 'Letterkenny'
And my scene is the opening of the pilot episode, where Wayne, Dary, and Squirrelly Dan are playing catch and talking about.... stuff...

The density of jokes is incredible in the whole show and this scene perfectly demonstrates it

The “F***” scene from The Wire is an all timer. One word of dialogue repeated in every possible cadence and inflection to not only convey an entire series of events, but also show off the intelligence and skill of the two detectives involved. Its a perfect scene.

I’d do the McNulty bender to end all benders montage and afterwards look at the person I showed it to and say “He’s the ‘good police’ of this show”

He's an addict. The moment he was away from Homicide and was a beat cop, he was much better. Then came the spiral after Bodie and he went back to his old ways and took it a step further.

It’s hard to convince people who haven’t seen BoJack Horseman that it’s actually an incredible show, but if I had to try it would probably be from The Telescope(episode 8) where BoJack tries to make amends with his old best friend he screwed over, and is promptly told he’s not forgiven and to get the f*** out of his house. The first half of season 1 seems like the show is going to just be a goofy Family Guy-inspired cartoon, but that episode/scene immediately lets you know it’s going to be heavier than that.

Just rewatched the scene, now I wanna rewatch Bojack even tho I couldn't even finish it the first place lol cuz it made me have panic attacks lol. The way this scene ends with a cheesy 90s sitcom guitar riff is such a chef's kiss

How far did you get in the series? I completely understand why you would feel that way and have trouble finishing it but it’s so damn good. I’d highly encourage you to revisit. Hope you’re in a better place than you were when you were watching the show before.

I’m also a huge fan of that show and I would have a really hard time answering OPs question. That episode is great but I feel like the scene you point out is really hard to fully digest without the context of at least the rest of the entire episode. Like I’m not sure of any one scene that fully captures the essence of the show when viewed out of context

Shoresy: Season 3, Episode 6.
The scene is Shoresy going around the locker room before the final period to speak to his teammates and motivate them. And as a bonus, the scene once the game is over and Shoresy is on his way back to the locker room.

Spartacus is one of the hardest shows to get someone into. It is…”rough” those first couple episodes. But IYKYK that it just gets better and better as that first season goes on and has you hooked by the end. And Gods of the Arena?!? Don’t even get me started on that masterpiece.
But it is a VERY tough sell convincing anyone to watch beyond the first two or three episodes. They are understandably off-putting in many ways.

Alias S2E13, the airplane fight scene that opens with AC/DC’s Back in Black. It’s so bad ass, and once I follow up by showing people the pilot, they’re usually hooked.
JJ precision dropped this episode after the Super Bowl to entice new midseason viewers. It was such a cliffhanger-heavy show, it was tough to jump in blind so they basically reset the series with this episode.

From Legion, my favorite scene is the opening scene of the final episode of the second season. Here we see the only two characters from Marvel comics in the series up to this point, Legion and the Shadow King, facing off in a battle of two psychics with the battle being depicted as cartoon images of their thoughts attacking each other. I love the music and the cinematography. It’s a Noah Hawley show and it’s got Aubrey Plaza, so you know it’s going to be good.
