Zach Shields Set To Pen 'Weapons' Prequel Screenplay Alongside Zach Cregger

I believe in Zach Cregger. He said he had this idea before Weapons even came out, so if he’s passionate about it, I have some faith in it.

I mean most of the audience and fans are asking for it. She hit it out of the park and got a deserved Oscar for this role so why not! I definitely would love to see a Gladys origin movie taking place during the late 1800s (if the consumption line meant that’s where she originated from). You all want original movies and this is one!

What are the other instances of an actor reprising their Oscar-winning role? Brad Pitt playing Cliff Booth again and Joaquin Phoenix playing Joker again come to mind.

These comments are braindead. Id gladly watch a Gladys film, especially since Cregger had the idea well before Weapons was finished.

It’s a fun cool horror movie, not Schindler’s List. Bring on the prequel!

As someone who was disappointed with Weapons, this doesn’t excite me at all and I don’t care for a prequel. I’ll probably skip it.


Is he directing again?

It's interesting as Madigan said Cregger gave her two options for Gladys: A woman who turned to black magic to keep her youth or an inhuman creature acting the way it thought a human did. She doesn't say which one she used. I'd love to see Madigan enjoy the part, just worry as part of the mystique is not knowing enough about her.

I don’t know. It really didn’t work for Furiosa doing a prequel to an iconic female protagonist with a much younger actress just won’t sit to well with the GP. If it’s a prequel that Amy can be in I’m all for it.

Never understood the interest in prequels. I don’t want to see wha happened before; I want to see what happens next!

I LOVED Weapons, it was my favorite film of last year. Don’t want or need this. I want more original movies, like what Weapons was last year. Not sequels and prequels and remakes.

I loved Weapons but I really don’t want a prequel. If anything, I think they over explained things with Gladys in the movie

Not everything needs more delving into. With that said, I'll probably watch it if it gets good reviews.

I hope it's a musical and the chorus is everyone just yelling "WEAPONS!"

Unnecessary prequel co-written by a guy who writes CGI kaiju slop. I dunno man, Cregger has a longer leash for me than almost anyone in Hollywood, but this feels totally misguided.
