Would've won the war if he visited LeBron

Haven’t heard a thing about Jordan. Are they friendly with Iran ? Too bad nobody is caring about Lebanon :(

FWIW, Jordan intelligence service has been held to pretty high regard

He just made a defense cooperation deal with Qatar, sounds like he's building ties with Middle Eastern countries in general.

When the world is at war, it’s always good to have more friends.

War eats up a lot of oil, and he certainly needs to secure his supply-line with the Iran war going on.

Yup, western media makes you think they’re winning the war

Please tell me how great it's going for Russia, 4 years later. Lmao. It's at a standstill, and Russians would love to make you think they're doing so well.

That’s what surprised me, Jordan’s military is token one at best. There isn’t any way they could seriously help Ukraine.

Giving drones to Russia is turning out to be one of the biggest stratergic mistakes Iran did. Ignoring Ukrainian advice on drones is also turning out to be US's biggest mistake in the current war.

I would say the US's biggest mistake is starting the war in the first place.

> Giving drones to Russia is turning out to be one of the biggest stratergic mistakes Iran did. How? This doesn’t make sense.

The deployment of Shaheds in Ukraine led to a massive arms race to develop countermeasures which wouldn't have happened if they weren't deployed en masse during the invasion. A lot of the low-cost anti-UAV tactics and technologies like interceptor drones were developed because Iran gave Shaheds to Russia. For example, a Ukrainian Sting interceptor drone only costs 2K dollars compared to a Shahed which costs over 20K USD and the Sting wouldn't even exist if not for the Russian use of Shaheds. Ukraine has also further developed them into new autonomous drones and transferred tech to friendly countries like the UK setting up production lines across Europe. [https://thedefensepost.com/2025/10/28/ukraine-uk-octopus-drones/](https://thedefensepost.com/2025/10/28/ukraine-uk-octopus-drones/) When Eric Schmidt visited Ukraine and saw drone warfare he began a startup called Project Eagle supporting Ukraine and developing new low cost counter-Shahed drones like the Merops [https://www.forbes.com/sites/sarahemerson/2024/06/06/eric-schmidt-is-secretly-testing-ai-military-drones-in-a-wealthy-silicon-valley-suburb/](https://www.forbes.com/sites/sarahemerson/2024/06/06/eric-schmidt-is-secretly-testing-ai-military-drones-in-a-wealthy-silicon-valley-suburb/) And the Merops have like a 1000 Shahed kills [https://united24media.com/latest-news/secret-merops-counter-drone-system-behind-1000-shahed-kills-in-ukraine-13574](https://united24media.com/latest-news/secret-merops-counter-drone-system-behind-1000-shahed-kills-in-ukraine-13574) Ukraine was pushed to the limits of modern warfare, and they are now experts in countering kamikaze drone swarms and that is now being transfered to Iran's eneies to counter Shaheds.

On the other hand what satellites do you think they’re using for their targeting?

Industrial capacity cannot be willed into existence, even with all the money in the world it takes time.  The issue is really one of the massive cheapening of offense vs the massive cost of defense. The effectiveness of the Ukrainian defense drones is also questionable, they sound like a game changer in the western press but other reports are less rosy. But let’s say the claims are all correct, that still doesn’t help the fact the Iranians have developed insane hypersonic missiles which at this point in time might as well be labeled as unstoppable. For this there is no c**** solution, and even though the hypersonics are not as c**** to produce they’re still much cheaper than the interceptors (which again, we lack the industrial capacity to produce at replacement rates).  The 12 day war was also a blessing in disguise for Iran given it showed them where the holes in their defenses were, but more importantly led to a very effective house cleaning of all traitors and foreign intelligence assets. Notice the targeting by Israel and the US has been… not f****** great at all. It’s very reminiscent of the “Russia is going to collapse in two more weeks, and we’ve killed 120% of their soldiers” we kept hearing since the first 2 weeks of the war in Ukraine.  Iran basically got to see their shit stress tested and partnered up with Russia to improve them in response to this. Also it strengthened the relationship with Russia which has itself paid off in other ways, both intelligence but also materially given the air defense systems and nuclear help they’ve given Iran.  Basically whatever negatives come from the enemy knowing the weapon, are imo greatly offset by everything listed above

All ballistic missile travel at hypersonic speeds. Iran has so far shown no capability of using true hypersonic weapons.

Ah yes ye olde head in the sand rebuttal!  Or is this just orientalism?

DarthManitol Mar 29, 2026 -3
Iranians have not developed hypersonic capability. Even WW2 V2 missiles could fly at hypersonic speeds during the terminal stage. For something to be a true hypersonic weapons it must be capable of carrying out complex maneuvers at hypersonic speeds which is beyond Iran's capabilities and Iran has not displayed any such capability.

Well seeing as leaks from the US and Israeli military have shown the brass freaking out about them, and that both have an extreme incentive to deny it to the press of course it’s still “unconfirmed”, and perhaps a dash of orientalism “those eastern barbarians could *never* create such a thing” is at play (or a heap).

DarthManitol Mar 30, 2026 +2
You are quite literally making up those "leaks"

Because they've reverse engineered them and know how to take them down.

They were never complex weapons to begin with, that is their strength. And the US barely incorporated that knowledge or set up cost-effective defenses for them. Meanwhile Iran probably has set up a lot more infrastructure to build the drones and experience and gets Russian intel that they use to find targets.

I was gonna reply but you said it for me! Exactly

studio_bob Mar 29, 2026 +25
By giving drones to Russian, Iran ensured the development of a massive industrial base for producing this technology outside of their own borders. Now, should the need arise, they can import anything they need to maintain their own drone production from Russia. That's worth a lot more than whatever anti-drone tech Ukraine has developed.

TruckHangingHandJam Mar 29, 2026 +3
Oof I forgot that in my reply to them. Great f****** point

It's a good move to turn this shitty situation into an advantage. Drones and expertise in exchange for resources.

Europe is giving way more than the US, and actually EU paid the US for weapons which are now diverted from Ukraine to Israel. Same thing with the Switzerland's Tomahawks.
