He's definitely getting decent roles in good films before Euphoria but he's been boosted up to a top 1/2 on the bill guy in those films now. Austin Abrams I guess kind of fits as a 1/2 too? But looking at his filmography, before joining Euphoria he hadn't played any noteworthy roles, and after Euphoria he played leading or supporting roles in: Ma Rainey's Black Bottom Candyman, Rustin (Academy award nomination) Sing Sing (Academy award nomination) The Color Purple Drive-Away Dolls Dead Man's Wire The Running Man Wicked: For Good Michael Disclosure Day No matter if we agree on whether he was already famous or not, you have to agree that Euphoria helped launch his career.

I'm not surprised at all that S3 is the last one, since some of the show's major names (Storm Reid, Barbie Ferreira, Eric Dane, & Angus Cloud) are all gone at this point, Jacob Elordi, Zendaya, Austin Abrams, and Colman Domingo are all onto bigger projects at this point, & I don't really see a happy ending for Rue and some of the other characters (especially Nate) with how messy their adult lives look in the trailer

Hunter Schafer is still getting roles but she never planned to become an actor. In an interview she said she wasn't sure how much more she wanted to act but her agent basically had to convince her to take the Blade Runner role. Her first career love has been modeling, I think any acting role she's gotten has been something special for her to do on top of her celebrity status.

To be fair, they have a contract with the TV show first so it should take priority. Actors can't f*** off do movies when they want when they're in a show (or else TV production would be impossible). They might have scheduled those movies simply when the show wasn't filming so they were free anyway. It's also probably the reason it's ending. Generally TV contracts need to renegotiated after a third season and HBO knows those actors would ask too much now.

A small part, but there were many other bigger reasons. Namely Sam Levinson delaying this when he decided to reshoot The Idol. Then the strikes. Then multiple rewrites because HBO (and Zendaya supposedly) wasn't happy with where he wanted to take the show. Then they had to renegotiate a bunch of contracts and manage schedules because by delaying, they lost all their actors, many of whom have blown up since.

It’ll be very funny to me if the show ends with 90% of the characters dead and Zendaya had to straight face say “i *think* it might be ending”

modern day friends, launched huge careers for its young cast but still excited we got a season 3. Hopefully they end it with its current cast and don’t try and do a whole “next gen” thing with a whole new cast.

Even if they make a third season, it won't be as good as the first two. Two characters died in real life, two left voluntarily, and all the actors aged. It will just be a money grab. They should make a movie and 5 or 10 years later and say goodbye to the series with dignity. For me, the series ended with the second season.
