Zone 2 cardio changed my relationship with running

I used to hate running because I was always going too hard. Zone 2 means you can hold a conversation. It feels embarrassingly slow at first. But after three months my aerobic base improved so much that the same effort level produces a much faster pace. And I actually enjoy it now.
